Loredan Popa, (15 July 1980, Vaslui, Romania) is a Romanian flatwater canoeist and current (2005) World and European champion in the Canadian canoe C-4 500m event.

Popa's first international title came in 2000 as a member of the Romania crew that won the C-4 1000m and C-4 500 m gold medal at the European under-23 championship in Boulogne, France.

In 2002 in Zagreb, Croatia, Popa won gold medals in both the C-4 500m and 1000m events. In the C-2 final in Zagreb, he partnered with his brother Constantin and took the bronze medal.

He then moved from his hometown club of Constructorul Hunedoara in Hunedoara, Romania to Romania's premier club Dinamo Bucharest.

In 2005, Popa was selected to represent Romania at a major senior championship. In Poznań, Poland. He won the European championship in his first attempt as a member of the C-4 500m crew, with Florin Popescu, Silviu Simioncencu and Josif Chirilă. Popa also competed in the C-4 1000m race, winning a bronze medal.

In August 2005, Popa's crew won the World Championship C-4 500m title. [3] Popa was the only man to be selected to race over all three C-4 distances. In the 1000m event, he came close to winning another gold medal but in a tight finish Romania were just edged out by Poland and he had to settle for a silver medal. [4] In the 200m, Popa again reached the final, finishing sixth. [5]

In 2006, Popa won his second consecutive C-4 500m title at the 2006 Canoe Sprint European Championships in Račice, Czech Republic.

Clint David Robinson, OAM ,born 27 July 1972, is an Australian sprint kayaker and surf lifesaver. At the Summer Olympics he has won a total of three medals: a gold medal in the K-1 1000 meters at the 1992 Olympics, a silver medal in the K-2 500 meters at the 2004 Olympics, and a bronze medal in the K-1 1000 meters at the 1996 Olympics.

The 2011 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships was the thirty-ninth edition of the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, that took place between 17 and 21 August 2011 in Szeged, Hungary. The Southern Hungarian city welcomed the world event for the third time, having hosted the championship previously in 1998 and 2006. These championships were awarded initially to Vichy, France, however, the race course on the Allier proved to be inadequate to hold the competition and the French Canoe Federation withdraw from organizing the event, following that Szeged, the original host of the 2013 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, was moved up to 2011.

Gábor Ivan is a Hungarian sprint canoeist who competed in the early 2000s. He won three medals at the 2001 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Poznań with two gold and a silver. He also participated in 2002 ICF Canoe Sprint European Champion in Szeged and won two gold and a silver medal.

Constantin Ciprian Popa is a Romanian sprint canoeist who has competed since 2002. He won two medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with a silver and a bronze. Gold medals European Championship (2008) C-4 500 m in Milano, Italy.

Kyle Jeffery is a Canadian sprint canoer who has competed since 2005. He won a silver medal in the C-4 1000 m event at the 2006 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Szeged. Since retirement in 2009, Kyle is now the head coach at Mississauga Canoe Club where he is currently coaching future Junior World, Senior World and Olympians Katie Vincent, Evan Bezemer, and his prized men's U-17 tub C4: Daniel Cuba, Morgan Macdonald, Chris Chambers, and Sam Djurfeldt are currently aspiring towards being the youngest crew to conquer the Junior Men C4 1000m Black Trophy.
