Lorenzo Foschi (18th-century) was an Italian painter.

Biography

He was born in the Marche. He painted a Santa Rosa for the church of San Domenico, Fermo. [1] Lorenzo had four brothers that were also painters: Francesco Foschi (best-known), Carlo, Giacomo, Orazio, and the best-known Francesco Foschi., [2]

He completed 3 altarpieces, commissioned in 1540–1545 for the church of Santo Spirito in Florence: an Immaculate Conception, Resurrection, and a Transfiguration. Foschi was also influenced by Il Bronzino. One of his pupils was Alessandro Fei.

Filippo, son of Natale, and grandson of Ubaldo, studied in Bologna under Donato Creti, and later in Rome under Corrado Giaquinto.
