Lorenzo Trejo Valencia (born 15 June 1977), [1] known as Lorenzo Trejo, is a Mexican boxer.

World title fights

In 2003, he lost to Iván Calderón for the World Boxing Organization minimumweight world title. [2]

Iván Calderón Marrero is a Puerto Rican former professional boxer who competed from 2001 to 2012. He is a two-weight world champion, having held the WBO mini flyweight title from 2003 to 2007, and the WBO, Ring magazine, and lineal light flyweight titles from 2007 to 2010. Additionally, his August 2010 bout against Giovani Segura was named fight of the year by Ring magazine. As an amateur Calderón represented Puerto Rico in international competitions, including the 2000 Olympics.

World Boxing Organization organization

The World Boxing Organization (WBO) is a sanctioning organization which recognizes professional boxing world champions. It is recognized by the International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF) as one of the four major world championship groups, alongside the World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Council (WBC), and International Boxing Federation (IBF). The WBO's headquarters are located in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

In 2006, Trejo lost to Eagle Kyowa for the World Boxing Council minimumweight world title. [3]

Den Junlaphan a.k.a. Eagle Kyowa is a professional boxer in the strawweight division. He won the WBC minimumweight title on January 10, 2004, by defeating José Antonio Aguirre. He lost it to Isaac Bustos in his second title defense, due to a shoulder injury. On August 6, 2005, in his first match back from the injury, Kyowa fought again for the WBC minimumweight title against Katsunari Takayama. He regained the title by a unanimous decision victory. Junlaphan defended the title four times before losing it again on November 27, 2007 against Oleydong Sithsamerchai.

World Boxing Council organization

The World Boxing Council (WBC) is one of four major organizations which sanction world championship boxing bouts, alongside the International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Association (WBA) and World Boxing Organization (WBO). Many historically high-profile bouts have been sanctioned by the organization with various legendary fighters having been recognised as WBC World champions. All four organizations recognise the legitimacy of each other, and each have interwoven histories dating back several decades.

In 2007, Trejo lost to Édgar Sosa for the World Boxing Council light flyweight world title. [3]
