Lorie Line (born 1958) is a classically trained pianist and arranger/composer from Reno, Nevada. [1]
Line grew up in Reno, Nevada, and has played the piano since she was five years old. As a young musician, she won several state piano competitions annually. Line obtained a B.A. in Music, Piano Performance from the University of Nevada in Reno. She married Tim Line in 1986 before moving to Minnesota to accept a job as a pianist for Dayton's department stores.[ citation needed ]
Since 1989, she has written and arranged over 700 songs, published over 50 books of sheet music, recorded 60 CDs, released on her own independent label. She has sold over 6 million albums and continues to tour and perform about 50 concerts per year. She has produced three television specials for PBS and won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2002 in the entertainment category. In 2015, Line was inducted in the Minnesota Hall of Fame.[ citation needed ]

Gina Bachauer, was a Greek classical pianist who toured extensively in the United States and Europe. Interested in piano at a young age, Bachauer graduated from the Athens Conservatory and studied under Alfred Cortot and Sergei Rachmaninoff. She is best known for playing Romantic piano concertos. She played hundreds of concerts for the Allied troops in the Middle East during World War II while she lived in Egypt. She spent a lot of time touring the United States and Europe, giving over 100 concerts each year. Bachauer also recorded extensively, both as a soloist and with orchestras. She received an honorary doctorate from the University of Utah. During her career she was called the "queen of pianists". The Gina Bachauer International Piano Foundation was named in honor of her contributions to the musical world. In her personal life, Bachauer married music conductor Alec Sherman, who became her manager. She died at the age of 66 at the Athens Festival.
Laure Monique Pester, professionally known as Lorie, is a French singer. She has sold over 8 million albums and singles worldwide as of December 2007. Her first studio album Près de toi was certified triple platinum in France and she followed it with five other certified albums. Lorie is also an actress, who lent her voice for many French versions of international movies including Stuart Little 2. She stars in the TF1 TV film De feu et de glace, and guest-starred as a Parisian model on the American soap opera The Young and the Restless. She has also launched a clothing line, "Lorie", only found in the Z stores in France. Her contract with Z ended in early 2009.
