Lorna McNee is a Scottish chef who was a winner of Great British Menu in 2019. [1] [2] [3]

Early life

McNee was born in 1987 and raised in Forres, Scotland. She studied at Moray College [4] before spending two weeks at Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's. [5]

She undertook work experience at Restaurant Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles Hotel at which she was the sous-chef. She won Game Chef of the Year in 2016 [6] and National Scottish Chef of the Year in 2017. [7]

She became the head chef of Glasgow restaurant Cail Bruich in August 2020. It won a Michelin Star in January 2021 and was the first Michelin Star restaurant in Glasgow in 18 years. [8]

Gary Rhodes English chef

Alinea (restaurant)

Alinea is a restaurant in Chicago, Illinois, United States. In 2010, Alinea was awarded three stars from the Michelin Guide. As of April 2021, Alinea is the only Chicago restaurant to retain a three-star status, Michelin's highest accolade.

Dylan McGrath is an Irish celebrity head chef. He was the owner of the now defunct Michelin starred restaurant Mint in Dublin which closed as a result of the economic downturn. In August 2010 he opened 'Rustic Stone Restaurant by Dylan McGrath' on South Great George's Street in Dublin's city centre. In 2011 Dylan was announced by RTÉ One as the judge on the Irish version of the show Masterchef. He also appeared in the 2008 RTÉ One television series Guerrilla Gourmet and in the fly on the wall series The Pressure Cooker. Derry Clarke has called him a "brilliant young chef".

Tom Kitchin

Thomas William Kitchin is a Scottish chef and owner of The Kitchin, where he became Scotland's youngest winner of a Michelin star.

Clare Smyth is a Northern Irish chef. She is the Chef Patron of Core by Clare Smyth which opened in 2017. Previously she was Chef Patron at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay from 2012 to 2016, won the Chef of the Year award in 2013, and achieved a perfect score in the 2015 edition of the Good Food Guide. Smyth has also appeared on television shows such as Masterchef and Saturday Kitchen.

Amaryllis was a restaurant located in the One Devonshire Gardens hotel in Glasgow, Scotland. It was opened by chef Gordon Ramsay, with David Dempsey operating the restaurant on a daily basis for the celebrity chef. It was awarded a Michelin star in 2002, which it held until the restaurant's closure in 2004.

Lisa Goodwin-Allen British chef (born 1981)

Lisa Goodwin-Allen is a British chef best known for being executive chef of the Michelin starred Northcote restaurant. She was also one of four winning chefs on season five of the BBC cooking show Great British Menu.

Aktar Islam is a multiple award-winning English Michelin starred chef, restaurateur and entrepreneur. He left the Lasan Group in 2016 to work on his new, flagship project, Opheem and launched his new Italian restaurant, Legna in winter 2018. His new group of restaurants concentrate on celebration of ingredients and are dedicated to gastronomy. Both Opheem and Legna have opened to critical acclaim and Opheem has received its first Michelin star in October 2019 and is the first and only Michelin starred Indian restaurant in the UK outside of London. Pulperia; an Argentine restaurant built around the celebration of beef opened its doors in March 2020 and has gone on to become the only Michelin listed Steak restaurant in Birmingham.

Tommy Banks is a British Michelin Star head chef. He owns Michelin-starred The Black Swan at Oldstead, Roots in York, and the premium food box business Made In Oldstead.

Restaurant Andrew Fairlie

Restaurant Andrew Fairlie, also known as Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles, is a restaurant serving British cuisine located within the Gleneagles Hotel near Auchterarder, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. In operation since 2001, it was run by chef Andrew Fairlie alongside his head chef Stevie McLaughlin. It currently holds two Michelin stars, having been awarded them in 2006. It is the only restaurant in Scotland to hold two Michelin stars.

Frances Atkins is a British chef. When she won a Michelin star at the Yorke Arms in 2003, she was the first female British chef to win a star.

Danni Barry was the head chef of Eipic restaurant in Northern Ireland and executive chef in Balloo House. She is now executive chef in The Wicklow Escape, a new culinary enterprise based near Donard. She was the second female Irish chef to hold a Michelin star. In 2016, she was named Irish Chef of the Year.

Philip Howard is a British chef, chef patron, and restaurateur. He gained cooking skills while working under Marco Pierre White at Harveys and Simon Hopkinson at Bibendum. Then Howard and White's then-business partner Nigel Platts-Martin opened a London restaurant The Square in December 1991, despite both of their inexperience in operating a restaurant at the time.

The Square was a London fine dining restaurant, opened on 13 December 1991 and co-owned by chef Phil Howard and wine expert Nigel Platts-Martin. The restaurant held two Michelin stars from 1998 to 2016, the same year when Howard and Platts-Martin sold it to a company held by Marlon Abela. The restaurant has been closed since 31 January 2020.

Tom Aikens English Michelin-starred chef

Tom Aikens, also named Tom Aitkens, is an English Michelin-starred chef.

Elystan Street is a London restaurant co-owned by chef patron Phil Howard and Rebecca Mascarenhas. Howard and Mascarenhas established the restaurant on 27 September 2016, six months after Howard sold and left his previous restaurant The Square. Elystan Street earned its first Michelin star in October 2017 and has retained it since.
