Lossiemouth United Football Club are a Scottish football club from the town of Lossiemouth, Moray that were latterly members of the Scottish Junior Football Association, North Region. The original club formed in 1949, lasting for ten years. The second incarnation ran from 1964 to 2015. Home matches are played at the Coulardbank Playing Fields where a pitch was enclosed to comply with SJFA regulations. In earlier years, United had shared Grant Park with their Highland League neighbours, Lossiemouth F.C. Club colours are dark blue and black.
The team have endured mixed fortunes over time and spent a year in abeyance during 2000–01 while their sixth place North Division One finish in 2009–10 was the club's highest ever in the Superleague era. It was announced in July 2013 that the club will enter another period of abeyance during the 2013–14 season. [1]
It was announced in the local press in February 2014 that Lossiemouth United would be returning after a year out with the board led by Ken Simpson and a new management team. [2] The Highland league neighbours Lossiemouth FC manager Stevie Dunn revealed his club is aiming to use their United partners as a pathway for young local talent to progress to Highland League football.
In March 2014 it was confirmed that Lossiemouth United would be coming out of abeyance from 1 April 2014. United will be returning to compete in the North Region Junior Football Association First Division (West) league beginning season 2014–15. John Ross will be the team manager and Alan Jamieson slots in as his assistant. Lossiemouth United again ceased operations in December 2015. [3]
In April 2022, the club announced they had submitted an application to return to the North Region, now within the Scottish senior football pyramid for the 2022–23 season. [4]
In January 2023 Lossiemouth United announced the appointment of Scott Campbell as their manager. Arguably Scott is possibly the youngest north region manager to be appointed. This replicates what the club have been doing on the park investing heavily in youth and the club and committee.
Lossiemouth is a town in Moray, Scotland. Originally the port belonging to Elgin, it became an important fishing town. Although there has been over 1,000 years of settlement in the area, the present day town was formed over the past 250 years and consists of four separate communities that eventually merged into one. From 1890 to 1975, it was a police burgh as Lossiemouth and Branderburgh.

The Scottish Junior Cup is an annual football competition organised by the Scottish Junior Football Association. The competition has been held every year since the inception of the SJFA in 1886 and, as of the 2022–23 edition, 108 teams compete in the tournament. The cup has an unseeded knockout format with semi-finals played as single legs, and the final played at a neutral venue of an SPFL club.

The Scottish Junior Football Association, North Region is one of the two regions of the Scottish Junior Football Association. Its area covers Grampian and Moray as well as part of the Highland and Angus council areas – from Montrose in the south to Nairn in the west. The North Region features three region-wide divisions, having reverted from the previous setup of two regional divisions below the North Superleague used for five seasons prior to 2018. It replaced the North Junior Football League which had a similar territory and structure. On 5 July 2021, it was announced that the North Region leagues are joined from tier 6 by the North Caledonian League and Midlands League to form a fully-integrated lower tiers below the Highland League from 2021-22.

Buchanhaven Hearts Junior Football Club are a Scottish football club, from Peterhead, Aberdeenshire. Members of the Scottish Junior Football Association, they currently play in Scottish Junior Football North Second Division. The club are based at Raemoss Park in the Buchanhaven area of Peterhead and the team colours are maroon.
Bishopmill United Football Club are a Scottish football club from Elgin, Moray. Members of the Scottish Junior Football Association, the club have currently withdrawn from competition. The original Bishopmill Football Club was formed in 1886, however the present Bishopmill United started life in 1906. The club joined the Morayshire Junior League for its second season 1906–07. Most recently based at Pinefield alongside local rivals New Elgin after their previous ground at Deanshaugh was rendered unusable after remedial works. The team colours are navy blue.
Islavale Football Club are a Scottish football club based in the town of Keith, Moray. Founded in 1949 as a Welfare side, they joined the Scottish Junior Football Association in 1952 and currently play in the SJFA North Championship. The club were based at Fife Park in the Fife Keith area of the town before moving to Simpson Park in 1998. The Vale are near neighbours of local Highland League side Keith, whose Kynoch Park ground they used to occasionally share. Team colours are red and black.
New Elgin Juniors Football Club are a Scottish football club from the town of Elgin, Moray. Members of the Scottish Junior Football Association, they currently play in the North Second Division.
RAF Lossiemouth F.C. are a football club representing the RAF Lossiemouth station in Moray, Scotland. Previously members of the Scottish Junior Football Association as well as entering Royal Air Force FA competitions, the club have currently withdrawn from SJFA North Region competition and now compete as members of the Scottish Welfare Football Association in the Moray District League. The present club date from 1970 although sides from the station had been playing under the banner of RNAS Lossiemouth since 1946. Club colours are red and black.
The 2013–14 Scottish Junior Cup was the 128th season of the Scottish Junior Cup, the national knockout tournament for member clubs of the Scottish Junior Football Association. The winner of this competition is eligible to enter the following season's Scottish Cup at the first round stage.

A total of 108 clubs have entered the competition, two fewer than in 2021–22. Auchinleck Talbot are the defending champions.
