Lou Wilson is an American actor, writer, and comedian. He is best known for his work as a writer and his roles on actual play anthology web series Dimension 20 and the creator-owned podcast Worlds Beyond Number. Wilson was raised in Altadena, California and has lived in Los Angeles for the majority of his life. [3] He attended Boston College and studied communications and Italian. [5] While there, he became a member of the university's comedy troupe, My Mother's Fleabag. [6] After his graduation in 2014, Wilson moved back to California and joined the Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles. [5]
In 2017, Wilson starred as Frank in The Guest Book [4] and played Lucas Wiley on Netflix's American Vandal . [7] [8] Additionally, he acted alongside Pete Davidson in The King of Staten Island (2020), where he played the role of Richie. [9] [10] He began writing for Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2020 and was promoted to on-air announcer in 2022, replacing Dicky Barett after he retired. [3] [11]
Wilson is known within the tabletop role-playing game community as a primary cast member of Dimension 20 , an actual play anthology web series which premiered in 2018; it was created by CollegeHumor for the streaming service Dropout. [1] In 2022, he was a cast member of the actual play series Exandria Unlimited: Calamity , a spin-off of the web series Critical Role . Wilson is also an improvisational comedian. He is currently a member of the improv troupe Yeti, which includes fellow Dimension 20 cast members Zac Oyama and Ally Beardsley[ citation needed ] and performs at the Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles. [18]

Critical Role is an American web series in which a group of professional voice actors plays Dungeons & Dragons. The show started streaming partway through the cast's first campaign in March 2015. Campaign one ended in October 2017 after 115 episodes, and campaign two started in January 2018 and ended in June 2021 after 141 episodes. A number of one-shots were aired in the hiatus between the two campaigns. After campaign two was completed, the spin-off limited series Exandria Unlimited aired from June 2021 to August 2021. Critical Role Productions, LLC is a multimedia production company incorporated in 2015 by the members of the creator-owned streaming show Critical Role.
