The 2020 Summer Olympics, officially the Games of the XXXII Olympiad and commonly known as Tokyo 2020, are an upcoming international multi-sport event to be held in Tokyo, Japan. These Games were originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, but due to the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic, the International Olympic Committee and the Tokyo Organizing Committee announced on 24 March 2020 that the Games would be rescheduled to a date beyond 2020 but not later than summer 2021, and that the Games would keep the name Tokyo 2020.
The Republic of China (ROC) competed as Chinese Taipei at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California for the first time. The change in name was a result of the Nagoya Resolution, adopted by the International Olympic Committee in 1979 after the objections raised in the 1970s by the People's Republic of China (PRC) over the political status of Taiwan. The IOC restrictions over the ROC name led to the ROC boycott of the Summer Games of 1976 and 1980; the PRC boycotted the Olympic Games prior to the adoption of the resolution. The 1984 Summer Games Chinese Taipei team included 31 men and 7 women, taking part in 40 events in 12 sports. In weightlifting, athletes both from Chinese Taipei and the People's Republic of China won medals.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) was founded by Shabbir Ahmad Usmani as an offshoot of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind (JUH) in Pakistan in 1947.

Luxembourg sent a delegation to compete at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia from 7–23 February 2014. This was Luxembourg's eighth appearance at a Winter Olympic Games. The Luxembourgian team consisted of one athlete in cross-country skiing, Kari Peters. In the only event he contested, the men's sprint, he finished in 79th place. He withdrew from the 15 km classical due to illness.
Palace 3: The Lost Daughter is a 2014 Chinese television series written and produced by Yu Zheng, starring Yuan Shanshan, Lu Yi, Gao Yunxiang, Shirley Dai and Yang Rong. It is a sequel to the 2012 television series Palace II. The series was first broadcast on Hunan Television in mainland China from 7 April to 4 May 2014.
The 2014 OEC Kaohsiung was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the third edition of the tournament which was part of the 2014 ATP Challenger Tour. It took place in Kaohsiung, Taiwan between 14 and 20 July 2014.
Yang Chiung-ying is a Taiwanese politician. She was first elected to the Legislative Yuan in 1998, and served until 2016, when she was defeated by Hung Tzu-yung. Yang then served as deputy mayor of Taichung within the municipal administration of Lu Shiow-yen.

He won his first senior international title at the 2014 Singapore International Series tournament in the men's doubles event partnered with Huang Po-jui. Lu educated at the University of Taipei, department of Ball Sports.
Mute Wife is a 1990 Taiwanese television drama series based on Chiung Yao's 1965 novelette of the same name. The drama stars Leanne Liu in the titular role.
Oliver Leydon-Davis is a New Zealand badminton player. He won the Oceania Championships title in the mixed doubles in 2014, and in the men's doubles in 2020.
Chinese Taipei is scheduled to compete in the 2017 Asian Winter Games in Sapporo and Obihiro, Japan from February 19 to 26. Chinese Taipei is scheduled to compete in all five sports. The Chinese Taipei delegation consists of 41 athletes and 30 officials. This marks the nation's largest ever Asian Winter Games team in terms of athletes and officials sent.
The World Between Us is a 2019 Taiwanese television series written by Lü Shih-yuan and directed by Lin Chun-yang. The series stars Alyssa Chia, James Wen, Chen Yuu, Tracy Chou, Chang Chien, Hsieh Chiung-hsuan, Allison Lin, J.C. Lin, Pets Tseng and Wu Kang-jen. The World Between Us is produced jointly by the Public Television Service, HBO Asia and CatchPlay. The series premiered in Taiwan on March 24, 2019. It consists of 10 episodes.
The 2019 Military World Games, officially known as the 7th CISM Military World Games and commonly known as Wuhan 2019, was held from October 18–27, 2019 in Wuhan, Hubei, China.
The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic was confirmed to have reached Luxembourg on February 29, 2020. As of 28 March 2020, there are 1831 confirmed cases, with 18 deaths, and 40 recoveries in Luxembourg.
