Lucerne District (German : Luzern) is a former Amt (administrative district) of the Canton of Lucerne, Switzerland. It had a population of 176,710 (as of 2013) and consisted of 18 municipalities, of which the city of Lucerne is the largest and the district capital. On 1 January 2013 the Amt was divided into two Wahlkreis, Lucerne-Stadt and Lucerne-Land. [1]

Plessur District is a former administrative district in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. It had an area of 266.73 km2 (102.99 sq mi) and has a population of 40,707 in 2015. The former district is named after the river Plessur which crosses it. However, the region along the Plessur –and therefore the whole valley–is called Schanfigg. It was replaced with the Plessur Region on 1 January 2017 as part of a reorganization of the Canton.

Littau is a former municipality, and now part of the city of Lucerne, in the district of Lucerne in the canton of Lucerne in Switzerland. On 1 January 2010 the municipality of Littau merged into the municipality of Lucerne.

Sursee District District in Switzerland

Sursee District is one of the five Ämtern, or districts, of the German-speaking Canton of Lucerne, Switzerland. Its capital is the town of Sursee. It has a population of 76,451. In 2013 the name was changed from Amt Sursee to Wahlkreis Sursee as part of a reorganization of the Canton. A sixth Wahlkreis was created, but in Sursee everything else remained essentially unchanged.

Entlebuch District District in Switzerland

Entlebuch District is one of six districts of the canton of Lucerne, Switzerland. Its administrative center is the village of Schüpfheim. Entlebuch District roughly corresponds to the basin of the river Kleine Emme. The district receives its name from the village of Entlebuch, which is in turn named for the rivers Grosse and Kleine Entle, a right tributary of Kleine Emme.

Emmental District in the Canton of Bern was created on 1 January 2010. It is part of the Emmental-Oberaargau administrative region. It contains 40 municipalities with an area of 690.45 km2 (266.58 sq mi) and a population of 97,666.

Seeland District in the Canton of Bern was created on 1 January 2010. It is part of the Seeland administrative region. It contains 42 municipalities with an area of 334.14 km2 (129.01 sq mi) and a population of 76,052.

La Tène, Neuchâtel Municipality in Switzerland in Neuchâtel

La Tène is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Neuchâtel. On 1 January 2009, the former municipalities of Marin-Epagnier and Thielle-Wavre merged to form the new municipality of La Tène.

Lucerne-Stadt District is one of the two new Wahlkreis formed from the former Lucerne Amt in 2013 in the Canton of Lucerne, Switzerland. It has a population of 82,620 and includes only the city of Lucerne.

Lucerne-Land District is one of the two new Wahlkreis formed from the former Lucerne Amt in 2013 in the Canton of Lucerne, Switzerland. It has a population of 104,751 and includes everything but the city of Lucerne from the old Amt.
