Lucinda Loya is an American interior designer and founder of Lucinda Loya Interiors, based in Houston, Texas. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Life and career

Loya was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She later moved to Houston and attended the Art Institute of Houston. [5] [6]

Loya founded Lucinda Loya Interiors in 2003, an interior design firm, whose work has focused on residential and commercial interior spaces. [7] [8] [9] Loya's work has been featured in Houston's cultural scene and she has collaborated with brands such as Lladró. [10] [11] [12]

In 2008, she received the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America's Women of Distinction Award. [13] [14]

In 2019, Loya and her husband launched the tequila brand called Veneno Tequila. [15]

Loya has served on the boards of organizations including the March of Dimes, UNICEF Southwest Region, Rice University's Shepherd School of Music, the Children's Assessment Center, and Child Advocates. In 2014, she chaired fundraisers for the Latin Women's Initiative and Children at Risk. [16]

Personal life

She is married to Mexican-American business entrepreneur Javier Loya. [17] [18] [19] The couple has two daughters, Ana Luca and Elena. [20]
