Energy Future Holdings Corporation is an electric utility company headquartered in Energy Plaza in Downtown Dallas, Texas, United States. The majority of the company's power generation is through coal and nuclear power plants. From 1998 to 2007, the company was known as TXU Corporation until its $45 billion leveraged buyout by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, Texas Pacific Group and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners. Browner previously served as Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) during the Clinton administration from 1993 to 2001. She currently works as a Senior Counselor at Albright Stonebridge Group, a global business strategy firm.

Anthony Gregory Brown is an American lawyer and politician, who is serving as the U.S. Representative for Maryland's 4th congressional district. He previously served two terms as the eighth Lieutenant Governor of Maryland, from 2007 to 2015. He was elected as lieutenant governor in 2006 on the Democratic ticket with Governor Martin O'Malley, and both were re-elected in 2010. In 2014, Brown ran unsuccessfully for governor, losing to Republican Larry Hogan.

The White House Office of Energy and Climate Change Policy was a new government entity in the United States created in 2008 by President Barack Obama by Executive Order that existed for a little over two years when it was combined with another presidential office in April 2011. The office was created in order to coordinate administration policy on energy and global warming.
Amanda Simpson is Vice-President for Research and Technology at Airbus Americas and was the former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Operational Energy. Operational Energy is the energy required for training, moving, and sustaining military forces and weapons platforms for military operations. The term includes energy used by power systems, generators, logistics assets, and weapons platforms employed by military forces during training and in the field. Previously Simpson was the Executive Director of the U.S. Army Office of Energy Initiatives (OEI) leading the Army's efforts to implement large-scale renewable energy projects. Her first posting in the Army was as the Special Assistant to the Army Acquisition Executive. In that role she was a principal advisor to the United States Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology on all matters relating to Army acquisition, procurement, research & development and logistics. Upon her appointment to the position of Senior Technical Advisor in the Bureau of Industry and Security in 2010, she became the first openly transgender woman political appointee of any Presidential administration. Simpson worked in the United States Department of Defense. She is Jewish.
Heather Renée Zichal is an American climate and energy figure in government and business. Zichal is the former Deputy Assistant to the President for Energy and Climate Change, serving in the Barack Obama administration starting in 2009. Following the early 2011 departure of Carol Browner from the administration, Zichal gained the general responsibility of coordinating the administration's energy and climate policy and was an architect of what became the administration's politically controversial Clean Power Plan. Zichal previously served as a legislative director and campaign advisor to several Democratic Party congressional members. In November 2013 she left the administration and became a private consultant and a fellow at the Atlantic Council. She has served on several company boards and councils and was The Nature Conservancy's vice president for corporate engagement from 2018-2019.

Azita Raji is an Iranian-born American diplomat, banker, and philanthropist. She was nominated by President Barack Obama in October 2014 to serve as the United States ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden, and confirmed unanimously by the United States Senate in February 2016. She presented her credentials to His Majesty Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden on March 15, 2016, and completed her tour of duty on January 20, 2017.
