Career

Lucy Dunn graduated from California State University, Fullerton in Political Science in 1976 and Western State University College of Law in 1981. From 1981–87 she managed her own private practice of law, the Law Offices of Lucetta A. Dunn, which sprung from her paralegal practice which she developed while attending law school. In 1987, she joined Signal Landmark, a real estate development company, as vice president and assistant general counsel, then briefly as general counsel, but in 1990 moved to the business side as vice president of development and project management of 1700 acres of land on the Pacific Coast, surrounding by the City of Huntington Beach, known as Bolsa Chica.

Dunn was appointed president and CEO of the Orange County Business Council in 2005, where she heads an organization of business leaders, working with government and academia, to ensure the county's economic prosperity and high quality of life. Before joining the Business Council, Dunn was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2004 to serve as Director of the California Department of Housing and Community Development. In June 2008, Governor Schwarzenegger appointed her to the California Transportation Commission [2] [3] and in March 2012, Governor Jerry Brown appointed her to serve a second term. In 2012, she was appointed by the Ontario City Council to the board of the newly created Ontario International Airport Authority.

She is a former secretary of the California Building Industry Association, former director of the National Association of Home Builders and a former member of the Urban Land Institute. [4] [5]

Dunn is a director of a number of nonprofit organizations including Pacific Symphony, the Lennar Charitable Housing Foundation, and a founder of the Bolsa Chica Conservancy; she was a participant in the creation of the Orange County 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness.

Troy High School (California) School in Fullerton, California, United States

Troy High School is a public high school in Fullerton, California, USA, acclaimed for its many programs including Troy Tech and International Baccalaureate. The school is part of the Fullerton Joint Union High School District. As of the 2019-20 school year, 2,604 students attend the school. Troy High School has the distinction of winning the most national titles in the Science Olympiad. It is one of the seven high schools in California and one of 59 in the country to be awarded a New American High Schools status by the United States Department of Education. The school is located next to the continuing La Vista High School and California State University, Fullerton.

Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve

Bolsa Chica State Ecological Reserve is natural public land in Orange County, governed by the state of California, and immediately adjacent to the City of Huntington Beach, California. The reserve is designated by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) to protect a coastal wetland and upland, with both migratory and resident threatened and endangered species of wildlife and wildflowers.

Michael Dobbins Duvall is a Republican politician and a former member of the California State Assembly. Duvall was first elected as the Assemblyman for California's 72nd District in 2006, and was re-elected in 2008. During his time in the Assembly, he served as the vice chairman of the Utilities & Commerce Committee. Lynn Daucher is a United States politician who was a Republican California State Assemblywoman from Orange County from 2000 until 2006 when she was term limited. That year, Daucher ran for the California State Senate seat being vacated by Joseph Dunn, but lost to Orange County Supervisor and former Assemblyman Lou Correa by 1,392 votes. Daucher formerly served as the director of the California Department of Aging.

California Transportation Commission

The California Transportation Commission (CTC) is an independent government transportation commission established in 1978. The CTC replaced and assumed the responsibilities of four prior independent agencies, the California Highway Commission, the State Transportation Board, the State Aeronautics Board, and the California Toll Bridge Authority. The CTC is headquartered in Sacramento.

The Commission on Asian & Pacific Islander American Affairs advises the Governor of California, the California Legislature and State agencies, departments and commissions on issues relating to the social and economic development, the rights and interests of Asian Pacific Islander American (APIA) communities. The Commission also addresses how to respond most effectively to the views, needs and concerns of the State’s APIA communities. Members do not receive a salary. This position does not require Senate confirmation.
