Luis Campos, also known by the stage name Chocs (born June 5), is a Mexican/American [1] punk rock jazz drummer and member of the band Delux. [2]
Luis Campos was born in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico [1] and started playing drums at the age of sixteen. He performed with several bands for a few years in Culiacan. In 2000 he moved to Mexico City to study at Fermata school of music.
Campos kept pursuing a career as a rock and jazz drummer after moving to Los Angeles. He was hired as musical director for Puerto Rican pop singer Noelia in 2006.[ citation needed ] That same year he joined a rock punk band and toured the United States. [3] In 2009 he signed a record deal with company MIP Music Group to produce an instructional DVD, Not Just Drumming and the album Time for Sound at Drumchannel Studios. [4] DW Drums founder Don Lombardi directed the DVD, which includes a live performance of Campos' Jazz Trio, featuring Ric Fierabracci on bass and Jeff Miley on guitar; a 15-minute interview with his trio by Don Lombardi and 3 rock tracks. [4] In 2010 he signed with cymbal company Paiste, [5] drum company Ddrums, Pro Racket Drum Cases, [6] Eccentric Systems, [7] KOPF Acoustic Cajones, [8] and a second deal with MIP Music Group. [4] He was invited to perform at the Laguna Drum Fest in 2010, one of the main drum festivals in Mexico. [9] [10] In 2012 Luis Campos was invited to perform a drum duo with worldwide Antonio Sanchez at DrumChannel studios. The performance was followed by an interview with drummer Curt Bisquera.

Massacre was founded in 1980 in New York City by guitarist Fred Frith, bassist Bill Laswell and drummer Fred Maher as an improvising and experimental rock band. They performed live for just over a year and recorded a studio album, Killing Time (1981). Frith and Laswell reformed Massacre in 1998 with drummer Charles Hayward, and released four more albums, Funny Valentine (1998), Meltdown (2001), Lonely Heart (2007) and Love Me Tender (2013). Delux is a pop rock band formed in Tijuana, Mexico, in the summer of 2000. The group is influenced by 1980s new wave music and the SoCal punk scene. Their 2005 debut self-titled record spawned three music videos which included an MTV VMA Nomination for Best New Artist. In 2007 they released Entre La Guerra y El Amor under major label (Sony/BMG) which allowed them to reach a more diverse and larger audience. In 2010, Delux released a bilingual album, which propelled them to be named one of the most influential Hispanic rock bands of the Internet era. They appeared on Alternative Press's 100 bands to watch in 2008.
Keith "Lucky" Lehrer is a drummer from Los Angeles, California associated with several influential LA punk rock bands. He was originally trained in jazz then played in a number of LA punk rock bands, particularly the Circle Jerks, Redd Kross, Bad Religion, Darby Crash Band and LA's Wasted Youth, among others. Lehrer also appeared in three notable documentary films charting the punk rock music scene. He is the brother of LA's Wasted Youth guitarist Chett Lehrer. Lehrer also teaches drums, with notable students being future Bad Religion drummers Pete Finestone and Bobby Schayer. He was an early developer of hardcore punk drumming and he has been called the "Godfather of hardcore drumming". Lehrer was voted the best punk drummer of all-time by fanzine Flipside.
Jon Larsen is a Danish musician, best known as the drummer for the rock band Volbeat. Larsen joined Volbeat after playing drums for several other bands. The Volbeat band was established by Michael Poulsen in October 2001 and was based on his former group, Dominus. Poulsen mobilized various musicians for the group, including Thomas Bredahl, Anders Kjolholm, and Jon Larsen. Volbeat’s success grew gradually, as they gained fame internationally, mainly in Europe and America. Larsen has described the Volbeat brand of music as a fusion of genres, with a dynamic beat that fuses elements of rock and roll with heavy metal. He has also explained that the band’s choice of music is not restricted to a particular genre. In interviews, Larsen has said that their music is based on real-life experiences and is their artistic interpretation of everyday life stories.
John Frederick Robinson, known professionally as JR, is an American drummer and session musician who has been called "one of the most recorded drummers in history". He is known for his work with producer Quincy Jones, including Michael Jackson's multi-platinum Off the Wall album and the charity single "We Are the World". JR's drum fill kicks off Jackson's chart topper "Rock with You", and his drum solo opens the Steve Winwood album Back in the High Life (1986) to begin the number 1 song "Higher Love".
