History

Some information on the school's history follows. Bryan Harkin retired as principal in 2004. [3] Anne Foxe took over as principal having been a teacher at the school since 1982. [5] [3] A new school building opened in 2014. [5] A centre dedicated to autism opened in 2015. [5] [3] Anne Foxe retired as principal in June 2016. [5] [3] Mr Annraoi Cheevers took over as principal. [3]

The famous footballer Shane Duffy who plays in and around England and Scotland with Brighton and Hove Albion, Fulham, Norwich City, Blackburn Rovers, Everton, Burnely, Scunthorpe United, Yeovil Town and Celtic sometimes in the Premier League visited the school in June 2017 and met with the pupils. [6] The footballer Shaun Patton is known for his goalkeeping abilities. [1] Family of actor Danny O'Carroll (known for his role as Buster Brady in Mrs. Brown's Boys ) attend the school and O'Carroll has been involved in fundraising and other activities to help the school by dedicating his time to it. Facilities

School facilities include ball courts and a hall for physical education. [3] A persistent problem is the parking facilities. [3]

<i>Mrs. Browns Boys DMovie</i> 2014 film directed by Ben Kellett

Mrs. Brown's Boys D'Movie is a 2014 Irish comedy film based on the sitcom Mrs. Brown's Boys and is co-produced by That's Nice Films, Penalty Kick Films, RTÉ and BocFlix. BBC Films is acting as sales agent and it was distributed by Universal Pictures. It was written by series creator Brendan O'Carroll, who also plays the lead role. The film sees Agnes Brown go to court to protect her family's stall at Dublin's Moore Street market from a corrupt Russian businessman who wishes to convert it into a shopping centre. The film was released on 27 June to negative reviews from critics. It topped the UK and Ireland box office with £4.3 million in its opening weekend, on a budget of £3.6 million, and retained the top spot for a second week. On 27 October it was released on home media, again topping the charts.
