Luvuyo Memela (born 18 September 1987 in Cape Town) is a South African professional soccer player. [3] [4] [5]
Memela made his international debut for South Africa in October 2015, playing home and away against Angola. In August 2022, he played during the 2022 African Nations Championship qualification, again facing Angola. [6]
After being released from Chippa United in 2024, Memela found himself without a club. He claimed that South African soccer clubs were age discriminating. [7]
Jerry Sikhosana is a South African former football player. Playing most of his career at Orlando Pirates, he was an assumed Pirates' fierce rival Kaizer Chiefs fan, and also performed for his team at the Soweto derbies, including a hat-trick in the 1996 Bob Save Superbowl semifinal, a game known as the Jerry Sikhosana derby. He was nicknamed "Legs of Thunder" after a champion racehorse that was a character on a South African TV series, and has earned legendary status at Orlando Pirates as a formidable goal poacher in the 1990s.
