Lux Institute was founded in 1941 in Leon, Mexico, and is run by the Society of Jesus. It educates from preschool through high school. It is named after the patroness of Leon, Mary, the Virgin of Light.[ citation needed ]

Irapuato City and municipality in Guanajuato, Mexico

Irapuato is a Mexican city located at the foot of the Arandas Hill, in the central region of the state of Guanajuato. It lies between the Silao River and the Guanajuato River, a tributary of the Lerma River, at 1,724 m (5,656 ft) above sea level. It is located at 20°40′N101°21′W. The city is the second-largest in the state, with a population of 342,561 according to the 2005 census, while its municipality has a population of 529,440. The municipality has an area of 845.1 km2 (326.3 sq mi) and includes numerous smaller outlying communities. Although it is now an important center for regional trade and transportation center as well the site of several automotive and chemical manufacturing plants, the city's main industry has historically been agriculture and it has long been known for its strawberries and the raising of pigs and cattle. Tuas Biomedical Park is a biomedical manufacturing cluster developed by JTC Corporation at the western end of Singapore. The 183-hectare Tuas Biomedical Park I and 188-hectare Tuas Biomedical Park II are located at Tuas View – 20 minutes away from Jurong Port and five minutes from the Tuas Checkpoint to Malaysia.

Autódromo de León

Autódromo de León in León, Guanajuato is a motorsport venue. The racetrack was opened in 1976. It is 0.75 mi (1.21 km) long. The Copa Marlboro, Formula 2, Formula 3, Copa Mustang, Tractocamiones, Sport Prototipos, Motos 600, Formula K, Superformula and GT-championships ran or are running at this venue. Currently the venue hosts some stages of Rally Mexico.

Universidad Iberoamericana León

Universidad Iberoamericana León is a private, catholic, Jesuit university campus located in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico, which was founded in 1978 as a campus of Universidad Iberoamericana to extend its reach to the state of Guanajuato and the Bajio region. It is now independently run from the Mexico City campus and it is part of the Mexican Jesuit University System.
