Lyudmyla Shevchenko (born February 4, 1970) is a former Ukrainian team handball player. She received a bronze medal with the Ukrainian national team at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. [1]
Ukraine competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, from 13 to 29 August 2004. This was the nation's third consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics in the post-Soviet era. The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine sent the nation's largest ever delegation to these Games. A total of 240 athletes, 125 men and 115 women, took part in 21 sports. Women's handball was the only team-based sport in which Ukraine had its representation at these Games for the first time. There was only a single competitor in modern pentathlon and taekwondo.

LyudmylaMykhajlivna Panchuk was a Soviet Ukrainian team handball player who competed in the 1976 Summer Olympics. In 1976 she won the gold medal with the Soviet team.

Lyudmyla Holovchenko is a retired amateur Ukrainian freestyle wrestler, who competed in the women's middleweight category. She boasted a fourth-place finish in the 63-kg division at the 2003 World Wrestling Championships in New York City, New York, United States, and later seized an opportunity to compete for Ukraine at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Holovchenko also trained throughout her sporting career as a member of the women's freestyle wrestling team for CSK Belaya Zerkov in Kyiv, under her personal coach Serhiy Basitsi.
