The Bangladesh Nationalist Party is one of the major political parties in Bangladesh. It was founded on 1 September 1978 by the late Bangladeshi president Ziaur Rahman,after the presidential election of 1978,with a view of uniting people with a nationalist ideology. Following Rahman's assassination in 1981,his widow,Khaleda Zia,took over leadership of the party and presided as chairperson until her imprisonment,in 2018. Since then,Tarique Rahman,the son of Rahman and Zia,has served as acting chairperson and has run the affairs of the party from London.

Bangladesh–Bhutan relations are the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Bhutan. On 6 December 2020,both countries signed a Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) with provisions for free trade in certain goods. The signing of the PTA was witnessed by the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and the Prime Minister of Bhutan.

Chowdhury is a title of honour,usually hereditary,originating from the Indian subcontinent. It is an adaption from Sanskrit. During the Mughal rule,it was a title awarded to eminent people,while during British rule,the term was associated with zamindars and social leaders. The common female equivalent was Chowdhurani. Many landlords under the Permanent Settlement carried this surname. Land reforms after the partition of India abolished the permanent settlement. In modern times,the term is a common South Asian surname for both males and females.
S.H.M.B Noor Chowdhury is a Bangladesh army officer who was convicted for the assassination of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,president of Bangladesh,and for involvement in the murder of four national leaders in the Jail Killing. He is currently a fugitive,hiding in Canada. The Canadian government has refused to extradite him,because he faces the death penalty in Bangladesh.
The High Commission of Bangladesh in Islamabad is the chief diplomatic mission of Bangladesh to Pakistan. It is located in Sector F-6 of Islamabad. The present Bangladeshi High Commissioner to Pakistan is Md. Ruhul Alam Siddique,who assumed diplomatic duties in October 2020. Bangladesh also has a Deputy High Commission in Karachi,and an honorary consul in Lahore.

The investigative documentary episode is about on Noor Chowdhury,the assassin of the first President of Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,and it focuses on questions that raises about Canada's silence in the case of Noor Chowdhury's staying in Canada.
