The M20 is a short metropolitan route in Johannesburg, South Africa. [1] [2] It connects Randburg in the western part of Johannesburg with Edenvale in the east.
The M20 begins at the intersection of M8 Judges Avenue and M13 Republic Road in Cresta. [3] : 54 The route winds its way south as Republic Road, passing Cresta Shopping Centre on its right and then rounds the northern end of the Darrenwood Dam. [3] : 54 It then heads south-east, still as Republic Road, through the suburb of Linden, crossing 1st Street and becoming 3rd Avenue until it reaches the intersection with M30 Tana Road. [3] : 54 Crossing the latter and a tributary of the Braamfontein Spruit it becomes Linden Road in Emmarentia and after a short distance turns left into Gleneagles Road, travelling east through Greenside and crossing the M71 Barry Hertzog Avenue. [3] : 55 The M20 continues east? then south-east, still as Gleneagles Road, crossing the Braamfontein Spruit and Parkview Golf Course. [3] : 55 It then continues northeast as Derry Road, then as Chester Road on the border of Parktown and Parkwood before turning east and crosses the intersection of the M27 at Jan Smuts Avenue, becoming Bolton Road in Rosebank and then reaches the M9 Oxford Road in the same suburb. Crossing Oxford Road into Melrose, the M20 continues as Glenhove Road, turning slightly northeast and soon intersects the M1 North motorway. [3] : 56 Crossing the motorway, it enters Oaklands as Pretoria Street, briefly co-signed with M31 heading northeast. [3] : 56 Shortly after it crosses the Orange Grove Spruit in Waverley and Highlands North, it breaks away from Pretoria Street heading northeast very briefly as Woodyatt Avenue before heading east as Atholl Street passing the schools of St Mary's and Waverley Girls' High School. [3] : 57 Shortly after those two sites, it intersects the M11 Louis Botha Avenue. [3] : 57 Having crossed the latter, the M20 heads briefly past Balfour Park Shopping Centre where it splits heading northeast as Northview Road in Bramley Gardens then becomes Johannesburg Road. [3] : 57 At the intersection with Drone Road, it becomes Pretoria Road and heads east then south-east where it ends ar a t-junction with the R25 Modderfontein Road west of Edenvale. [3] : 58
Route 27 is a state highway in New Jersey, United States. The route passes through many communities along the way, including New Brunswick, Highland Park, Edison, Metuchen, Rahway, and Elizabeth. Route 27 is a two- to four-lane undivided highway for most of its length, passing through a variety of urban and suburban environments. It intersects many roads along the way, including Route 18 in New Brunswick, Interstate 287 (I-287) in Edison, the Garden State Parkway in Woodbridge Township, Route 35 in Rahway, Route 28 in Elizabeth, and U.S. Route 22 in Newark. Route 27 crosses the Raritan River on the Albany Street Bridge, which connects Highland Park on the east with New Brunswick on the west.

The M1 De Villiers Graaff motorway is a metropolitan route and major freeway in the City of Johannesburg, South Africa. The highway connects the southern areas with the city centre and extends further north through Sandton into the Ben Schoeman Highway towards Pretoria. Construction began in 1962 and resulted in the demolition of many properties and houses including numerous historical Parktown Mansions.

Louis Botha Avenue is a major street in Johannesburg, South Africa. Originally part of the main road between central Johannesburg and Pretoria, it runs along through the north-eastern parts of the city from Hillbrow to Sandton, passing through numerous older suburbs, including Houghton and Orange Grove, before it becomes the Pretoria Main Road (R101) which passes the Alexandra Township and continues to Midrand and Pretoria.
