MC's Fight Night (abbreviated as MCFN or MCSFN) is an annual event of the Danish hip hop community with competition in the disciplines of impromptu rap (freestyle) hosted by Primo Entertainment. Although earlier rappers from other Scandinavian countries were allowed, now the battle is confined solely to Danish rappers making it the definitive freestyle rap competition for rap in Denmark.
The event consists of "verbal battles" (i.e. games) between two rappers placed in a boxing ring and battles are done via microphones (hence the name MC, short for Microphone Controller). Those resorting to physical violence are disqualified. Finalists are decided after auditions held in various cities where hundreds of rappers apply. Judges eliminate one of the two contestants in 1/8 finals, quarterfinals, semifinals and the final finale. Each "battle" is limited to two laps of 1 minute on a particular subject. In the final, an extra free third round is added.
Those attending usually determining results. But in case of wide disagreements or split voting, the judges determine the winner in boxing style. The winner is crowned "MC's Fight Night Champ", while the rapper with the best monologue during the evening receives the "Den Gyldne Mikrofon" (The Golden Microphone) (also known as Årets Punchline Award). In addition to cash prizes (on a winner takes all basis - no prizes for runners-up), a championship belt was added as an additional reward in 2004 carrying names of all previous champions.
The event has attracted increasing attendance which has prompted the event organizers to switch the venue from Amager Bio with capacity of 800 where the earlier battles were held to Cirkusbygningen that accommodated 2000 people. In 2005 the organizers moved the event again to an even larger venue at KB Hallen, that could accommodate 4000 people. The event is always sold-out. [1]
Participants also take part in charity work, including Grøn Koncert for Danish one-day music festivals in support of muscular dystrophy victims.

The Prizefighter series was a professional boxing tournament created by boxing promoter Barry Hearn and aired on Sky Sports. The format has an initial eight fighters, who compete in four quarter-finals of 3 x 3 minute rounds followed by two semi-finals and one final all on the same night. The total prize money of the tournament is £80,000 with the winner of the tournament taking home £32,000, a figure that has increased from the initial top prize of £25,000 when the tournament first aired in April 2008. There have been 34 Prizefighter tournaments so far featuring 14 different weight divisions. The last tournament was held in 2015.

Founded in January 2010 by singer/songwriter and producer Coko Korinne, producers compete in live monthly beat battles to progress to the Grand Finale, where a winner is selected by a judging panel of music celebrities and record label executives. Since 2010, various judges include Bryan Michael Cox, Boi-1da, Nitti Beats, Def Jam, Atlantic Records, Nipsey Hussle, Warner Music Group, Johnny Juliano, and many others. The Grand Prize includes a production kit from Big Fish Audio, a trip to Los Angeles for a pitch meeting with the VP of Urban A&R at Sony/ATV Music Publishing, $1000, and a recording session and music video with rapper MIMS.

VS Live was formerly known as Sky Arena. Sky ARENA was previously owned by SKY Television New Zealand and VADR Media. In 2015 VADR Media acquired 100% of SKY ARENA shares and relaunched as VS LIVE.
The Rap of China, formerly known as, is a Chinese rap competition show produced by iQiyi. The show was carried out in the form of three groups of producers Kris Wu, Will Pan, MC HotDog and Chang Chen-yue judging the performance of the participating students, and received great attention. In the end, after fierce competition among players and difficult choices of producers, China's hip-hop first season produced two annual championships, GAI (musician) and PG ONE.

Rak-Su are an English R&B group, formed in Watford. In 2017, they won the fourteenth series of The X Factor, becoming the first male group to do so. The group is made up of Ashley Fongho, Jamaal Shurland and Myles Stephenson; Mustafa Rahimtulla, left the group in November 2020. Freestyle rap in Italy started back in 2003, when the Tecniche Perfette contest was born by Mastafive and DJ Double S. The next important contests are the 2TheBeat, the most relevant one that has ever taken place in the country despite having only had 3 editions from 2004 to 2006, and MTV Spit in 2013, that saw as participating rappers who are currently big names in Italian rap like Nitro, Rancore or Clementino.
