The MEAC women's basketball tournament is the conference championship tournament in women's basketball for the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). It is a single-elimination tournament involving all 13 league members, and seeding is based on regular-season records with head-to-head match-up as a tie-breaker. [1] [2]
The winner receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament.

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) is a collegiate athletic conference whose full members are historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in the Southeastern and the Mid-Atlantic United States. It participates in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) Division I, and in football, in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
The Savannah State Tigers and Lady Tigers are the men's and women's intercollegiate athletic teams that play for Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia.
Bobby Lee Collins is an American college basketball coach and the former head men's basketball coach at Maryland Eastern Shore. Prior to Maryland Eastern Shore, Collins had been the head coach at Winston-Salem State University and Hampton University.
The Norfolk State Spartans refer to the 14 intercollegiate sports teams representing Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia, in intercollegiate athletics, including men and women's basketball, cross country, tennis and track and field; women's sports include bowling, softball, and volleyball; men's-only sports include baseball and football. The Spartans compete in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) and are members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Starting with the next NCAA baseball season in 2023, the baseball team competes as an associate member of the Northeast Conference (NEC). The 2020–21 Norfolk State Spartans men's basketball team represented Norfolk State University in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Spartans, led by eighth-year head coach Robert Jones, played their home games at the Joseph G. Echols Memorial Hall in Norfolk, Virginia as members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. With the creation of divisions to cut down on travel due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, they played in the Northern division. They finished the season 17–8, 8–4 in MEAC play to finish in tie for first place in the Northern division. They defeated North Carolina Central in the quarterfinals of the MEAC tournament and advanced to the championship when North Carolina A&T withdrew from the tournament due to COVID-19 protocols. They defeated Morgan State to win the tournament championship. As a result, they received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament as a No. 16 seed in the West region. They defeated Appalachian State in the First Four, but were eliminated by No. 1 overall seed Gonzaga in the first round.

With the creation of divisions to cut down on travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they played in the Southern Division.

The Bison, led by second-year head coach Kenny Blakeney, played their home games at Burr Gymnasium in Washington, D.C. as members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. With the creation of divisions to cut down on travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they will play in the Northern Division. They finished the season 1–4, 0–0 in MEAC play before suspending their season on February 9, 2021, due to an abundance of positive cases amongst their players amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 1994 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball tournament took place March 8–11, 1994, at the Talmadge L. Hill Field House in Baltimore, Maryland. It was the first time in twenty years that Baltimore had hosted the MEAC men's tournament. North Carolina A&T defeated South Carolina State, 87–70 in the championship game, to win its 14th MEAC Tournament title.
The 2022 MEAC women's basketball tournament was the postseason women's basketball tournament for the 2021–22 season in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). The tournament took place March 9–12, 2022. The tournament winner will receive an automatic invitation to the 2022 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament.
