As winners of the 2012 Super Cup, Erchim were awarded the place in the competition. In 2017 the club qualified for the AFC Cup, becoming the first Mongolian club to do so.

Athletic 220 FC was a Mongolian professional football club based in Ulaanbaatar, that competed in the Mongolian Premier League. The club was established in 2016, and was promoted to the Mongolian Premier League after emerging runners-up in the Mongolia 1st League the same year. In August 2022 it was announced that, despite a string of success including two appearances in the AFC Cup, the club had withdrawn from the Mongolian Premier League because of financial difficulties.

G-Mobile Arena is an association football stadium in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. It is the home of Ulaanbaatar City FC of the Mongolian Premier League. Naming rights belong to Mongolian wireless communication company G-Mobile. The arena includes stands on all four sides and a half roof. An artificial turf surface was imported from the Netherlands. The president of Ulaanbaatar City FC described the stadium as "European quality."

The 2018 MFF Cup is the 11th edition of the MFF Cup, the knockout football tournament in Mongolia.

The 2019 Mongolian Premier League was the 51st season of football in Mongolia. The season began on 13 April and is scheduled to end in August 2019. This is the second year of a 3-year sponsorship deal with Mazala.
