The MPBL Finals MVP Award is an annual Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League award. It was first given after the 2018 MPBL Anta Rajah Cup Finals.

    <span class="mw-page-title-main">2019–20 MPBL season</span> 3rd MPBL sports season

    The 2019–2020 MPBL season, known as the MPBL Lakan Season or the Chooks-to-Go MPBL Lakan Season for sponsorship reasons, was the third season of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League. It began June 12, 2019 and ended on March 21, 2021, nearly two years later due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines causing a one-year long suspension that lasted from March 11, 2020 to March 10, 2021. The season resumed on March 11, 2021 with a bubble in Subic, Zambales.

    The 2020–21 MPBL Playoffs was the postseason tournament of the 2019–20 MPBL season. This was the league's third overall, and the second post-season under a new format. The postseason tournament began on February 15, 2020 and concluded on March 21, 2021, after the fourth game of the 2021 MPBL Finals. The league suspended all the playoffs due to the COVID-19 outbreak in March 12, 2020. After a year of stoppage of play, the league got an approval from the IATF-EID and resumed the playoffs on March 10, 2021, inside a bubble hosted by Subic. The 2021 MPBL Finals saw the Northern Division champions San Juan Knights competed against the Southern Division champion Davao Occidental Tigers. The Tigers eventually won the championship after beating the Knights in four games, avenging their last season's finals loss in 2019. Mark Yee was named the Finals MVP for that finals series.

    Gabriel Banal is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Blackwater Bossing of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was drafted 22nd overall pick in the 2nd round of the 2014 PBA Draft. He is the son of former basketball player and coach Joel Banal.

    The 2022 MPBL season, also known as the MPBL Mumbaki Season, was the fourth season of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). The season began on April 25, 2022 and ended on December 12, 2022, thus marking the first time since the inaugural 2018 season where the season ran throughout a single calendar year.

    The 2022 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Finals, was the best-of-5 championship series of the 2022 MPBL season and the conclusion of the season's playoffs. The Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards, the MPBL Northern Division champion, and Zamboanga Family's Brand Sardines as the MPBL Southern Division Champion, competed for the fourth championship contested by the league. This was the first MPBL finals to implement a 2–2–1 home game format due to geographical reasons. The Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards wins the national championship title after defeating Zamboanga Family's Brand Sardines 3–1 game series. John Byron Villarias named as the 2022 MPBL Finals MVP.
