Auraria Campus is an educational facility located near downtown Denver, Colorado in the United States. Jay Fletcher Vincent is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Michigan State Spartans. Vincent was selected 24th overall by the Dallas Mavericks in the 1981 NBA draft. He played for several NBA teams, including the Dallas Mavericks, Washington Bullets, Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs, Philadelphia 76ers, and Los Angeles Lakers. Vincent also played professionally in Italy.

Thomas J. Yewcic was an American football quarterback and punter and Major League Baseball player. He attended Michigan State University. In football, he played from 1961 to 1966 with the Boston Patriots of the American Football League (AFL), and is a member of the Patriots All-1960s (AFL) Team. In baseball, he played one game for the Detroit Tigers in 1957.

DIME Denver was a for-profit college located in Denver, Colorado. It was a branch of the Detroit Institute of Music Education (DIME). The college offered certificate and bachelor's degree programs. In March 2016, DIME announced a partnership with Metropolitan State University of Denver after previously partnering with Falmouth University for accreditation. The financial agreement between DIME and Metropolitan State University was never publicly disclosed. The partnership with Metropolitan State University allowed DIME students to receive BA degrees through Metropolitan State University while paying the higher DIME tuition. DIME students paid significantly higher tuition than the regular Metropolitan State University rate. The cost of attendance to attend DIME Denver was $15,356 for the 2019–20 academic year.

The 1953 Denver Pioneers football team was an American football team that represented the University of Denver as a member of the Skyline Conference during the 1953 college football season. In their first season under head coach Bob Blackman, the Pioneers compiled a 3–5–2 record, tied for last place in the Skyline, and were outscored by a total of 195 to 159.

The 1959 Denver Pioneers football team was an American football team that represented the University of Denver as a member of the Skyline Conference during the 1959 college football season. In their fifth season under head coach John Roning, the Pioneers compiled a 2–8 record, tied for fifth place in the Skyline, and were outscored by a total of 230 to 104.

The 1965–66 Michigan State Spartans men's ice hockey team represented Michigan State University in college ice hockey. In its 15th year under head coach Amo Bessone the team compiled a 16–13–0 record and reached the NCAA tournament for the second time in its history. The Spartans defeated Clarkson 6–1 in the championship game at the Williams Arena in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As of 2018, the 1965–66 Michigan State team has the worst record of any national champion for Division I ice hockey.

The 2021–22 Minnesota State Mavericks men's ice hockey season was the 53rd season of play for the program. They represented Minnesota State University, Mankato in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season and for the 1st season in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA). They are coached by Mike Hastings, in his 10th season, and play their home games at Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center.
