Maarten Fontein (born 22 February 1952, in Leiden) is the former Marketing and Commercial Director for Alkmaar Zaanstreek (AZ).
Fontein joined AZ on 1 May 2008, and is responsible for Sponsorships, International relations and affairs, and strategy. [1] Prior to joining AZ, Fontein was CEO & Managing Director for AFC Ajax from November 2005 through April 2008. [2] Prior to AFC Ajax, Fontein was employed by Unilever, holding various positions in the company's ice-cream and frozen foods divisions in The Netherlands, Australia, Sweden, Turkey, and China.
Alkmaar Zaanstreek, better known as AZ Alkmaar or simply AZ, is a Dutch professional football club from Alkmaar and the Zaanstreek. The club plays in the Eredivisie, the highest professional football league in the Netherlands, and hosts home matches at the AFAS Stadion.
Ronald Koeman is a Dutch professional football manager and former player, who is the current head coach of La Liga club Barcelona. He is the younger brother of his former international teammate Erwin Koeman and the son of former Dutch international Martin Koeman. Koeman was capable of playing both as a defender and as a midfielder; he frequently played as a sweeper, although he was equally known for his goalscoring, long–range shooting, and accuracy from free kicks and penalties.

Demy Patrick René de Zeeuw is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. He previously played for AGOVV, Go Ahead Eagles, AZ and AFC Ajax. While at AZ he was a key player in the squad that won the 2008–09 Dutch league, the club's first championship victory in 28 years. Following this success he transferred to Ajax, with whom he won the 2009–10 Dutch Cup, and the 2010–11 Dutch league title. A good tackler and a gifted passer of the ball, he made 24 appearances for the Netherlands national team.
Mitchell Glenn Donald is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Turkish club BB Erzurumspor. He previously played for AFC Ajax, where he went through the youth program. Born in the Netherlands, he represents the Suriname national team.

AZ or AZ Vrouwen was a women's association football club based in Alkmaar and the Zaanstreek, Netherlands. They were affiliated with the AZ men's team. They were founder members of the Eredivisie Vrouwen in 2007 and won the first three editions of the championship. In February 2011 AZ announced they were withdrawing support for their women's section, for financial reasons.

Ajaxjournaal is a Dutch football news magazine revolving around AFC Ajax, a football club from Amsterdam, that was aired on TV channel RTV Noord Holland from 2004 until 2007. During the show the creators Maarten Bax and Onno Vos would interview the players and coaches about the coming or preceding matches, as well as air footage from the games and from the club's training grounds Sportpark De Toekomst, while summarizing the weekly news and events circulating around the club. The show aired every two hours after 17:30 CET on Fridays, and every hour after 9:30 CET on Saturdays from 2004 until 2007. No longer aired on national television since 2007 however, Ajaxjournaal is still broadcast online, and is also made available for viewing on screens all around the Amsterdam Metropolitan area, from McDonald's restaurants to screens on board trains of the Amsterdam Tramway Network, as well as the Amsterdam Metro transit system.
During the 2014–15 season, AZ competed in the Eredivisie for the 17th consecutive season and the KNVB CUP under new manager Marco van Basten, and then John van den Brom after Van Basten relinquished his role after health issues, becoming assistant to Van den Brom. Under Gertjan Verbeek and Dick Advocaat the previous season, AZ lost their title of KNVB Cup to PEC Zwolle after being eliminated in the semi-finals by eventual league winners Ajax and finishing eighth in the league.
Stefanie van der Gragt is a Dutch footballer. She plays as a defender for AFC Ajax and the Netherlands national team where she represented the country at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup and 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.

Marleen Molenaar is a retired Dutch footballer who played as a forward and featured for the Netherlands women's national football team. She later oversaw Eredivisie clubs AZ Alkmaar and AFC Ajax, and won the league four times between the two clubs.
