Madabhushi Sridhar Acharyulu (born 10 November 1956) is an Indian academic and Information Commissioner. He is presently serving as a Dean, School of Law, Mahindra University. He was once a professor at Nalsar University of Law in Hyderabad and Dean at Bennet University. [1] [2] He's an alumnus of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Osmania University.
He was born in Warangal to Freedom Fighter and Founder Editor of Janadharma Weekly and Warangal Vani Daily, M. S. Acharya and Ranganayakamma. He studied at Masoom Ali High School, AVV Junior College, CKM College, Law College Warangal. He is a post graduate in LL.M., and M.C.J (Journalism) from Osmania University.
He served as a Dean, School of Law, Mahindra University, Hyderabad. Prior to this he was a professor at School of Law, Bennett University, Greater Noida for over two years before which he was a professor at Nalsar University of Law, Hyderabad, for more than 13 years. He wrote 30 books on law and journalism, in English and Telugu, including four on the Right to Information Act. [2]
He was appointed as Information Commissioner on 21 November 2013. [2]

Andhra Pradesh is a state in the southern coastal region of India. It is the seventh-largest state with an area of 162,970 km2 (62,920 sq mi) and the tenth-most populous state with 49,577,103 inhabitants with the state capital being Amaravati and the largest city being Visakhapatnam. It is bordered by Telangana to the north-west, Chhattisgarh to the north, Odisha to the north-east, Tamil Nadu to the south, Karnataka to the west and the Bay of Bengal to the east. It has the second longest coastline in India after Gujarat, of about 974 km (605 mi). Andhra State was the first state to be formed on a linguistic basis in India on 1 October 1953. On 1 November 1956, Andhra State was merged with the Telugu-speaking areas of the Hyderabad State to form Andhra Pradesh. The state was then reorganised in June 2014 to form a separate Telangana state.
Telangana is a state in India situated in southern part of the Indian peninsula on the high Deccan Plateau. It is the eleventh-largest state and the twelfth-most populated state in India as per 2011 census. On 2 June 2014, the area was separated from the northwestern part of United Andhra Pradesh as the newly formed state of Telangana, with Hyderabad as its capital.
Warangal is a city in the Indian state of Telangana and the district headquarters of Warangal district. It is the second largest city in Telangana with a population of 811,844 per 2011 Census of India, and spreading over an 406 km2 (157 sq mi). Warangal served as the capital of the Kakatiya dynasty which was established in 1163. The monuments left by the Kakatiyas include fortresses, lakes, temples and stone gateways which, in the present, helped the city to become a popular tourist attraction. The Kakatiya Kala Thoranam was included in the emblem of Telangana by the state government and Warangal is also touted as the cultural capital of Telangana.

Pendyala Varavara Rao is an Indian activist, poet, teacher, and writer from Telangana, India. He is an accused in the 2018 Bhima Koregaon violence and has been arrested under the non-bailable Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Rao was arrested on the charge of plotting to assassinate Indian prime minister, possibly based upon planted evidence. In August 2022, he was released on bail by the Supreme Court of India, on medical grounds.
Dr. 'Ampasayya' Naveen is a Telugu novelist. He is an Osmania University alumni, and his college life at OU inspired his first novel, Ampasayya. His novel Kala Rekhalu won the Sahitya Academy Award in 2004.
Kothapalli Jayashankar, popularly known as Professor Jayashankar, was an Indian academic and social activist. He was a leading ideologue of the Telangana Movement. He fought for a separate state beginning in 1952. He often stated that unequal distribution of river water was the root cause of the separate Telangana movement. He was the former Vice-Chancellor of Kakatiya University and an activist in the Separate Telangana Movement.
Veeramalla Prakash Rao, known as Telangana Prakash, is an advocate, writer and the co-founder of Bharat Rashtra Samithi, a Regional Party in India.
Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani is a distinguished academician, public intellectual, and the first (founder) Chairman (2014–2020) of Telangana State Public Service Commission.He was also known as a journalist, writer, public speaker, policy expert and political analyst. At present, he is working as a senior professor of Sociology and director, Academic at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad. Associated with people's movements, democratic movements, and rights movements, he became a public intellectual in the region. Since the Bhuvanagiri meeting in 1997, he has been directly associated with the Telangana separate statehood movement and emerged as one of the protagonists of the Telangana agitation, as a writer, public speaker, columnist, and television analyst, he played multiple roles in the spread of Telangana ideology. He is one of the founders of the Peace Initiative Committee, which negotiated with the government and Maoist Naxalites for peace talks in 2004–05. During the talks, the Government of Andhra Pradesh (AP) appointed him as the convenor for the Cease-Fire Monitoring Committee. After the formation of a separate state for Telangana, the government of Telangana appointed Dr. Chakrapani as the first Chairman of TSPSC. Samaikya Andhra Movement was a movement organized to keep the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh united, and to prevent the division of the state - separating the Telangana districts of the state into a separate Telangana state. The movement was supported by government employees, advocates in Coastal Andhra & Rayalaseema regions along with students from 14 universities, various occupational, caste & religious groups of Coastal Andhra & Rayalaseema regions. The last set of protests were triggered after the Congress Working Committee decision to divide the state came to an end after President of India gave nod to Telangana Bill which would make the latter to come into existence from 2 June 2014.
Baddam Yella Reddy was an Indian communist politician from Telangana. He was one of the prominent leaders in the Telangana armed struggle against the Nizam regime.
Vundela Malakonda Reddy was an engineer who is better known as a Telugu poet and great writer. He is also the founder of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology, Gandipet, Hyderabad. Reddy was born on 23 August 1932 in Inimerla, Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh. He died on 20 April 2022 in Hyderabad, Telangana.
The Hans India is an Indian English-language daily newspaper published in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as well as in New Delhi. The newspaper was started on 15 July 2011 and belongs to Hyderabad Media House Ltd., which also owns Telugu-language news channel HMTV. The chief editor is V. Ramu Sarma.

Nidigattu Sanjay, better known as N. Sanjay, is a Silver jubilee 1996-batch Regular Recruit (RR) Indian Police Service Officer belonging to Andhra Pradesh cadre. At present, Sanjay is the Chief of AP Criminal Investigation Department.
