Maddison Moore (born 10 April 1995) is a British martial arts practitioner. A former junior and senior Karate champion, she won bronze in Taekwondo at the 2023 European Games in the Women's 49 kg category.
From Blakedown, near Kidderminster, [1] Moore began Karate aged seven and was coached by her father Bradley. She became a European and World junior Karate champion, winning the World Union Karate-do Federation World Champion in the 15-17 category in 2012 and then winning the European title in London the following year. After attending De Montfort University to study performing arts, she became the British University Champion and in 2015 won the world senior Kumite -55kg belt in Slovenia. [2]
Moore joined the British Taekwondo programme in 2017. Moore won her first Taekwondo medal when she won silver at the Polish Open in 2018. [3] In May 2018 she represented Britain at the 2018 European Taekwondo Championships held in Kazan, Russia. [4] Moore won her first international title at the 2019 Austrian Open. [5] She would later win a European bronze medal in the 49kg event in Sarajevo, Bosnia in December 2020, which included a 32-30, golden point victory over 2016 European champion Iryna Romoldanova of Ukraine. [6] [7] Moore competed for Britain at the 2023 European Games and won the bronze medal in the Women's 49 kg category, defeating Israel's Avishag Semberg 2-1 in the third-placed bout. [8]
Aaron Arthur Cook is a taekwondo athlete who has represented Great Britain, the Isle of Man, and Moldova. He has been ranked the number one in the men's −80 kg division on several occasions. He is a three-time European champion having won the −80 kg title at the European Taekwondo Championships in 2010, 2012 representing Great Britain and 2014 representing the Isle of Man, and was the world junior champion in the −78 kg division in 2008.

Jade Louise Jones is a Welsh taekwondo athlete. She is the 2012 and 2016 Olympic gold medallist in the women's 57 kg category, and the 2019 World champion, 2016, 2018 and 2021 European champion and both 2015 European Games and 2023 European Games champion at the same weight, the only two-time gold medalist at her weight in the history of those Games. In 2012, she won Britain's first taekwondo Olympic gold medal. Jones was at the time the reigning Youth Olympic champion in the girls' 55 kg category, winning gold for Great Britain in 2010.
Zoe Smith is an English weightlifter. In October 2010 she won a bronze medal in the women's 58kg division at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India, her first senior international competition, to become the first English woman to win a Commonwealth Games weightlifting medal. Smith competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and finished 12th in the Women's 58kg division. After missing the 2016 Summer Olympics following an injury, she finished eighth in the 59kg at the 2020 Summer Olympics. At the 2023 European Weightlifting Championships she won the gold in Clean and Jerk and the bronze in the 64 kg total category. She failed to qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Bianca Cook, also known as Bianca Walkden is a British taekwondo athlete and Olympian. She is a three-time World champion, twice World Grand Prix champion, four-time European champion and a double Olympic medallist.
Lutalo Muhammad is a British retired taekwondo athlete who represented Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics, winning a bronze medal, and the 2016 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal. He won the gold medal in the −87 kg class at the 2012 European Taekwondo Championships. He is the most successful male in British taekwondo history.
Milica Mandić is a Serbian taekwondo athlete. She is a two-time Olympic champion in the +67 kg category, as well as World champion in the same category.
Lauren Louise Price is a Welsh professional boxer, former amateur boxer and former kickboxer and footballer. She has held the WBA, IBO, and Ring female welterweight World titles since 11 May 2024. She was the first-ever female British professional boxing champion having won the welterweight title on 6 May 2023 and holding it until vacating the belt when she became World champion. While representing Wales in the amateur sport she won a bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, becoming the first Welsh woman to win a Commonwealth Games boxing medal. Four years later she surpassed this achievement by winning gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, followed by a gold at the 2019 World Championships. While representing Great Britain, she won gold medals at the 2019 European Games and 2020 Summer Olympics.
Jordan Thomas is a British karateka. In 2016, he became the first British Karate World Champion in 12 years, since Paul Newby's gold medal in 2004. Thomas was also the first British World Games Finalist in 16 Years, the last being Jason Ledgister in 2001. His first major title, in 2014, made him the first British European Karate Champion in 8 years. He is the son of William Thomas who won the 1992 World Karate Championships.
Tatiana Alexeyevna Minina is a Russian taekwondo athlete. She won the silver medal at the 2017 World Taekwondo Championships in the women's bantamweight category when she was beaten by Zeliha Ağrıs from Turkey.
Hatice Kübra İlgün is a Turkish taekwondo practitioner. She has won a silver medal at the 2017 World Taekwondo Championships in the featherweight division.
Emily Campbell is a British weightlifter, the most successful British weightlifter of modern times. In 2021, competing in the +87 kg category, Campbell became both European champion, and the first British woman to win an Olympic medal in the sport, with silver at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. In 2022 she retained her European title, won the Gold medal at her home Commonwealth Games in a new Commonwealth Games record, and upgraded her 2021 World Championships bronze medal to a silver in Bogota. In 2023, Campbell confirmed a hat-trick of three successive European titles, before winning her fourth title in 2024.
Lauren Williams is a Welsh taekwondo athlete who represents Great Britain.
Great Britain, or in full Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the team of the British Olympic Association (BOA), which represents the United Kingdom, competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Skylar M.-Y. Park is a Canadian taekwondo athlete. She is the reigning Pan American Games champion after she won gold in Santiago at the 2023 Pan American Games and won a bronze medal at the 2019 World Taekwondo Championships. Park also won the gold medal at the 2018 Pan American Taekwondo Championships on the women's 57 kg weight category. She represented Canada at the 2020 Summer Olympics in the women's 57 kg weight category.
Molly Caudery is a British athlete who competes in the pole vault event for England and Great Britain. Caudery is the 2024 World Indoor champion. She was also a silver medalist at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and took bronze at the 2024 European Athletics Championships.
Avishag Semberg is an Israeli Olympic taekwondo athlete. She is an Olympic bronze medalist for Israel at the 2020 Summer Olympics in the women's 49 kg competition. She won Israel's all-time tenth Olympic medal, and is the youngest Israeli to receive an Olympic medal, at the age of 19. Semberg will represent Israel at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the women's taekwondo -49 kg category on August 7, 2024.
Althéa Laurin is a French taekwondo athlete competing in the middleweight division. In 2021, she won the bronze medal in the women + 67 kg at the Tokyo Olympic Games and is also decorated Knight of the National Order of Merit.
Youssef Badawy is an Egyptian karateka and a world-classed champion. He won the gold medal in the men's kumite 84 kg event at the 2021 World Karate Championships held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In 2019, he won the bronze medal in the men's kumite 84kg event at the World Cadet, Junior & Under 21 Championships in Chile, marking his debut at the Worlds and introducing himself as a candidate for the World Champion title.
