Madhesh Province women's cricket team, (formerly known as Province No. 2 Cricket Team) also known as Team Madhesh, is a Nepali provincial cricket team, based in the Madhesh Province of Nepal. The team plays Twenty20 cricket in the Prime Minister Women's Cup. [2] [3] The team is currently being run under the Madhesh Province Cricket Association. [4] This team is currently being led by Kabita Gautam. [5]

Madhesh Province Cricket Team plays in PM Cup women's national tournament organized by Cricket Association of Nepal. Madhesh Province Women's team qualified for the semifinal [6] [7] for the very first time in the 2023 season. They were unable to make into the final, losing by a huge margin against Sudurpaschim Province women's team. [8]

The biggest cricketing achievement of the national cricket team was when the team reached the qualification tournament of 2014 ICC World T20 held in Bangladesh. Nepal's playing season runs from September to November and starts again in March before finishing in May. As of October 2023, there were 3400 senior cricket clubs and over 35000 registered players in Nepal.

Prime Minister Cup Women's National Cricket Tournament is a twenty20 cricket tournament in Nepal organised by the Cricket Association of Nepal.

The 2020 Prime Minister Cup was the fourth edition of the Prime Minister One Day Cup, the premier one-day cricket tournament in Nepal. The tournament was contested by teams representing the seven Provinces of Nepal as well as three departmental teams. It began on 15 January 2021 and ended on 30 January 2021. All matches of the tournament were broadcast live by DishHome's "Action Sports" channel. Nepal Police Club were the defending champions, but were eliminated at the semi-final stage by Armed Police Force Club. Tribhuwan Army Club won the title following a 33-run win over APF Club in the final.
