Madhuvanthi Narayan is an Indian singer, composer and Hindustani Classical Vocalist. [1] [2] She predominantly works in Malayalam cinema & Tamil. She made her debut in playback singing with the songs "Thira Thira" and "Thaniye Mizhikal" from the Malayalam movie Guppy in 2015. She is known for the song "Aaradhike [3] " from the Malayalam movie Ambili, "Appalale" from Nayattu, "Chiramabhayamee" from Aarkkariyaam, and recently "Aadharanjali" from Romancham .
Madhuvanthi Narayan developed a love for music at an early age. [4] She is trained in Hindustani music under the tutelage of her father, Pandit Ramesh Narayan, who is a disciple of Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj. She also had the opportunity to learn from her bade Guruji, Pt. Jasrajji. She is a "Sangeet Visharad" holder in Hindustani Vocal from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalay Mandal, Mumbai. Madhuvanthi graduated in Carnatic Music from Government College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram, and later moved to Chennai to complete her post-graduation from the University of Madras. From the age of six, she started giving onstage performances.
During her college days, Madhuvanthi participated in the Benadryl Big Golden Voice Season 3 held in Mumbai and won the first runner-up title. She has performed on more than 100 stages across the globe.
Madhuvanthi has lent her voice to numerous songs in the Malayalam and Tamil film industries. Some of her notable works include:

Jasraj was an Indian classical vocalist, belonging to the Mewati gharana. His musical career spanned 75 years resulting in national and international fame, respect and numerous major awards and accolades. His legacy includes memorable performances of classical and semi-classical vocal music, classical and devotional music, albums and film soundtracks, innovations in various genres including Haveli Sangeeth and popularizing the Mewati Gharana – a school of thought in Hindustani classical music. Pandit Jasraj taught music to amateur and professional students in India, Europe, Canada and the United States.
Prabha Atre was an Indian classical vocalist from the Kirana gharana. She was awarded all three of the Padma Awards by the Government of India. She died after experiencing breathing difficulty in the early hours and was taken to Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital. She died from cardiac arrest before reaching the hospital. Atre died on 13 January 2024, at the age of 91.
Pandit Vishnu Narayan Bhatkhande was an Indian musicologist who wrote the first modern treatise on Hindustani classical music, an art which had been propagated for centuries mostly through oral traditions. During those earlier times, the art had undergone several changes, rendering the raga grammar documented in scant old outdated texts.
Gayatri Asokan is a playback singer who works mainly in Malayalam cinema. She started her playback career with the song "Deena Dayalo Rama" for the film Arayannagalude Veedu for music director Raveendran. "Enthe Nee Kanna" for Sasneham Sumitra won her the Kerala State Film Award for Best Singer in 2003. Her other songs include "Chanjadi Adi" from Makalkku, "Thumbikkinnaram" from Naran and "Pularumo" from Ritu.
Ramesh Narayan is an Indian classical vocalist, composer and music producer who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. Ramesh began his initial training in Carnatic music and later mastered the classical Hindustani style under the renowned Pandit Jasraj.
"Bombay" Jayashri Ramnath is an Indian Carnatic vocalist, singer, and musician. She has sung songs in multiple languages, including for Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi movies. Born into a family of musicians, Jayashri represents the fourth generation of music practitioners in her family. Trained by Lalgudi Jayaraman and T.R. Balamani. She was awarded India's fourth highest civilian award, the Padma Shri, in 2021. In December 2023, she was awarded the most prestigious award in the Carnatic music field, the Sangeetha Kalanidhi, by the Madras Music Academy. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song (Oscar) for Pi's Lullaby from Life of Pi movie. She has become one of the most sought-after Carnatic musicians today.
Pandit Ganapati Bhat, popularly known as Ganapati Bhat Hasanagi, is an Indian Hindustani classical vocalist. He belongs to Kirana -Gwalior Gharana. He is a resident guru at Dr. Gangubai Hangal Gurukul Trust in Hubli. He was born and brought up in Hasanagi, a small village in the state of Karnataka in India.
Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar is an Indian sarod player and pupil of Bahadur Khan. Majumdar is one of the most popular and celebrated modern sarod players.
Sumati Mutatkar was an Indian classical music vocalist and musicologist from the Agra gharana of Hindustani classical music, and a Professor of Department of Music in University of Delhi.
Sooraj Santhosh is an Indian singer, songwriter, and composer. He straddles the worlds of independent music and playback singing, moving smoothly between the two. Santhosh is the recipient of a Kerala State Film Award (2016), 2 Mirchi Music Awards, and a Kerala State Film Critics Award (2021). He has sung around 300 songs in 8 languages.
Ambili is an Indian film singer in Malayalam cinema during the 1970s and 1980s. She has sung more than 3000 songs in 800 films. She has sung in Tamil, Hindi and Bengali. Her popular songs are "Thedi varum kannukalil", "Oonjala, oonjala", "Swarnamalakal", "Maayalle raga mazhaville" and "Guruvayoorappante thiruvamruthethinu".

Johnpaul George is an Indian script writer and film director active in the Malayalam film industry. He is best known for his debut film Guppy, which was released in August 2016.
Gowry Lekshmi is an Indian composer, singer, songwriter, and music producer from Cherthala, Kerala.
Lokesh Anand is an Indian shehnai player. Lokesh has been learning under Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj, Hence belongs to Mewati Gharana. He is empanelled with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. The key characteristics of Anand's Shehnai playing are neat fingering techniques, command over tempo along with richness and clarity in sound. Lokesh performs solo and in duet and also does fusion.
Resmi Sateesh is an Indian playback singer and actor from Kerala predominantly known for her songs in the Malayalam films. She has also acted in the movie 22 Female Kottayam and worked as location sound recordist for the movie Makaramanju directed by Lenin Rajendran.
Romancham (transl. Goosebump) is a 2023 Indian Malayalam-language comedy horror film directed by Jithu Madhavan in his directorial debut and produced by Johnpaul George, Girish Gangadharan and Joby George under the banner of Guppy Films and Johnpaul George Productions. Based on a real life incident faced by the director and his friends during their college days, the film stars Soubin Shahir, Arjun Ashokan, Sajin Gopu, Siju Sunny, Abin Bino, Anantharaman Ajay and Afsal P.H. Set in Bangalore, the plot revolves around seven unmarried men and their usage of an Ouija board, which leads to various subsequent events. The music was composed by Sushin Shyam, while the cinematography and editing were handled by Sanu Thahir and Kiran Das.
