Magda Kint

Magda Kint (born 1936) is a Belgian artist.

She was born in Ninove. Kint was self-taught. She lived in central Africa from 1954 to 1960; there she developed a love of nature that manifested itself in her art. She worked in oil and watercolor. [1]

Kint was awarded the prize of the city of Leuven in 1970 and was a winner in the National Drawing Contest (Nationale Tekenwedstrijd) at Kortenberg in 1971. Her work is held in the national collection of Belgium. [1]

Written by Krzysztof Kieślowski and Krzysztof Piesiewicz, the film is about a young post office worker deeply in love with a promiscuous older woman who lives in an adjacent apartment building. After spying on her through a telescope, he meets and declares his love for this jaded woman who long ago gave up on believing in love. She responds to his innocence by initiating him on the basic fact of life—that there is no love, only sex. A Short Film About Love is an expanded film version of Dekalog: Six, part of Kieślowski's 1988 Polish language ten-part television series, Dekalog. The film is set in Warsaw. The film was selected as the Polish entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 61st Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.

Cor Kint Dutch swimmer

Clasina Cornelia "Cor" Kint was a Dutch backstroke swimmer who won the gold medal at the 1938 European Aquatics Championships. Between 1938 and 1940 she was three times national champion in the 100 m backstroke and set five world records and four European records in the 100 m, 200 m, 100 yd and 150 yd backstroke events. Her 150 yd and 200 m records stood for 11 year and her 100 m world record was not broken for a period of 21 years - the longest a record has ever stood in swimming. In 1971, she was introduced to the International Swimming Hall of Fame.
