Magtymguly International Prize

The Magtymguly International Prize is an award given by Turkmenistan to those who help achieve the aim of Magtymguly, an 18th-century poet; the establishment of an independent Turkmenistan. It was established on 19 May (Day of Revival, Unity, and the Poetry of Magtymguly) 1992 in the field of Turkmen language and literature was established. [1] In 2008, in order to increase the authority of the prize, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow signed a decree, which approved the new composition of the relevant committee on awarding the prize. [2] It is awarded annually. [3]

The Ashgabat Flagpole is a flagpole in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. It is 133 metres tall, making it the 4th tallest free–standing and 5th tallest flagpole in the world. It was erected on 29 June 2008. It was the tallest free–standing flagpole in the world until being surpassed by the 162 m (531 ft) National Flagpole in Azerbaijan on 1 September 2010. The Vice-president of the Guinness Book of World Records at the time, Greig Glenday, came to Ashgabat as a witness, and handed over a certificate of the record.

Turkmendenizderyayollary Agency is a state agency in Turkmenistan that owns several state companies. It is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Industry and Communication of Turkmenistan. The main office is located in the city of Turkmenbashi. It is entrusted to manage state property, maintain transport security-related tasks and provide services in the field of maritime and inland waterway transport.

Serdar Gurbangulyýewiç Berdimuhamedow is a Turkmen politician serving as the third and current president of Turkmenistan since 19 March 2022. Berdimuhamedow had previously served in several other positions within the government of his father, Gurbanguly, the long-standing authoritarian ruler of Turkmenistan. The father and son entered into a power-sharing arrangement in 2022 whereby they jointly rule an authoritarian system of government in Turkmenistan.

The Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan regulates the activities of the country's justice bodies. Since its inception in 1993, the ministry provides legal support to the state, and performs other tasks assigned by the Law of Turkmenistan to ensure the protection of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of the Turkmen citizen. It was originally established on 6 September 1972 as the Justice Ministry of the Turkmen SSR. In 2003, President Saparmurat Niyazov ordered the Ministry of Justice to be renamed as the Ministry of Adalat. With Adalat being the Turkic word for justice, the change in terminology was intended to convey fairness, honor, and order within the ministry's affairs. The Ministry of Justice was also given new responsibilities that included inventorying all state-owned and private properties and overseeing the lawyers, notaries, and civil-registration offices in Turkmenistan.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Turkmen military academies</span>

The Armed Forces of Turkmenistan currently funds 2 high ranking educational institutions: The Military Academy of Turkmenistan and the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan. Aside from those two schools, there are several military schools around the country, specializing in the training of personnel of a branches of service. In the early 1990s when the armed forces were rapidly being developed, many officers were trained in the Russian Federation's Ministry of Defense, while at least 300 officers were sent to schools in Turkey. On 3 October 1992, the Turkmen State University created the first Turkmen educational department. Döwletmämmet Azady was a Turkmen poet and Sufi scholar. He is the father of poet Magtymguly Pyragy, the father of Turkmen literature.

Order of Saparmyrat Türkmenbaşy the Great is a state award of Turkmenistan established by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow in honour of his predecessor, Saparmyrat Nyýazow. The decree constituting its establishment was signed on 29 November 2007.

The Magtymguly Youth Organisation of Turkmenistan is a registered social and political organization in Turkmenistan. It held seats in the Mejilis of Turkmenistan of the sixth convocation (2013–2018). Despite this organization having the appearance of a non-governmental organization, in reality, Magtymguly Youth Organisation was closely linked and controlled by the government.

Altyn Asyr, meaning "Golden Age" in Turkmen, is one of the seven television channels owned by the government in Turkmenistan. It is mainly focused on broadcasting the news in Turkmenistan.
