Established in 2002, Mahindra World City Chennai is India’s first integrated business city and corporate India’s first operational SEZ and is promoted by the Mahindra Group in partnership with Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), spanning over 1,500 acres and comprising of multi sector Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and a Domestic Tariff Area (DTA).

It houses more than 67 blue chip companies including BMW, B. Braun, Capgemini, Infosys, BASF, Lincoln Electric, Parker Hannifin, Renault-Nissan, Tesa SE, Federal Mogul, Fujitec, NTN Corporation, Timken, TVS Group of Companies, AAM and many more. The ethos of Mahindra World City has been the creation of a holistic ecosystem which not only nourishes business but also makes quality living inside the city a reality.

Established in 2006, Mahindra World City, Jaipur is a 74:26 joint venture between Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.and the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and

Investment Corporation Ltd. (RIICO), an agency of the Government of Rajasthan. Spread over an area of 3,000 acres, MWCJ consists of a Multi-Product Special Economic Zone (SEZ), a Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) and Social & Residential Infrastructure Zone. Perfectly located off the Delhi-Mumbai Highway and within the influence zone of Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), MWCJ provides corporates a world-class platform to establish and expand their businesses in a hassle-free environment to compete globally. ORIGINS by Mahindra World City Chennai is Tamil Nadu’s first IGBC Platinum Pre-certified Industrial Cluster and is a joint venture between Mahindra World City, Chennai and Sumitomo Corporation, Japan.

The Industrial Cluster will be spread over a total area of ~ 600 acres when completed, and the first phase of development spans over ~300 acres. The multi sector industrial cluster focuses on attracting large and medium global companies across engineering, automotive, logistics, medical devices and aerospace & defence among other sectors.

Located on NH 16 (formerly NH 5) on the Chennai - Kolkata Highway, ORIGINS is part of Chennai Bangalore Industrial Corridor. It is well connected by air, rail, and road and is in close proximity to 3 seaports. It offers plug and play infrastructure with professional operations and maintenance with other supporting infrastructure including commercial and social spaces.

ORIGINS by Mahindra World City, Ahmedabad

ORIGINS by Mahindra World City near Ahmedabad has been launched in strategic partnership with International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group.

Spread across 340 acres, it will focus on attracting large and medium corporates across engineering, automotive, pharmaceutical, medical equipment, manufacturing, food processing, plastics, textile and Logistic & Warehousing, amongst other sectors.

Located on NH 47 on the Ahmedabad–Rajkot Highway,it is well-connected by air, rail, road and sea.

Confluence

Confluence is an Annual Event held in Mahindra World City which aims at creating a common platform for International Property Consultants (IPC) fraternity. The intention is to bring them in concert on a single platform for exchanging thoughts, ideas, and opportunities revolving around the industrial and business growth and devise long-lasting business relationships. Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur

The Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN) is an airport project for Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur. It is the biggest economical development project currently underway in India in terms of investments. The project aims to exploit the central location of Nagpur and convert the present airport into a major cargo hub with integrated road and rail connectivity.

The Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project (DMIC) is a planned industrial development project between India's capital, Delhi and its financial hub, Mumbai. The DMIC project was launched in pursuance of an MOU signed between the Government of India and the Government of Japan in December 2006. It is one of the world's largest infrastructure projects with an estimated investment of US$90 billion and is planned as a high-tech industrial zone spread across six states, as well as Delhi, the national capital and itself a Union Territory. The investments will be spread across the 1,500 km long Western Dedicated Freight Corridor which will serve as the industrial corridor's transportation backbone.

Sri City town in Andhra Pradesh, India

The SEZ Corridor is an emerging corridor implementing a number of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) along the Grand Southern Trunk Road in Chennai. Started with the establishment of the Madras Export Processing Zone in 1984, the SEZ corridor currently has 5 operational SEZs and over 10 approved projects in development. The GST Road is widely made use of for SEZ projects due to its connectivity with various means of transport by road, rail and air. This is evident by the presence of the Chennai International Airport, various railway stations parallel to the road, and also its connectivity to the complex road network of the National Highways Authority of India.

Ramanujan IT City

Ramanujan IT City is an information technology (IT) special economic zone (SEZ) situated in Chennai, India. Named after the Indian Mathematician Srinivas Ramanujan, it is a joint venture of Tata Realty and Infrastructure Limited (TRIL), Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO). Situated next to the Tidel Park, it is being developed in a land measuring 25 acres with two zones with a total built-up area of 5.7 million sq ft. including 4.5 million sq ft of office space.

Madras Export Processing Zone (MEPZ) is a special economic zone in Chennai, India. It is one of the seven export processing zones in the country set up by the central government. It was established in 1984 to promote foreign direct investment, enhance foreign exchange earnings, and create greater employment opportunities in the region.

Vellore, located in Tamil Nadu, India, has a diversified economy, primarily based in leather processing, shoe manufacturing, automobile assembly, precision tool milling, explosive materials production, and the service industry.

Sagar Mala project Project of Indian shipping

The Sagarmala Programme is an initiative by the government of India to enhance the performance of the country's logistics sector. The programme envisages unlocking the potential of waterways and the coastline to minimize infrastructural investments required to meet these targets. It entails investing Rs. 8.5 trillion (2018) to set up new mega ports, modernizing India's existing ports, developing of 14 Coastal Economic Zones (CEZs) and Coastal Economic Units, enhancing port connectivity via road, rail, multi-modal logistics parks, pipelines & waterways and promoting coastal community development, with the aim of boosting merchandise exports by US$110 billion and generating around 10,000,000 direct and indirect jobs. The Sagarmala Programme is the flagship programme of the Ministry of Shipping to promote port-led development in the country by exploiting India's 7,500 km long coastline, 14,500 km of potentially navigable waterways and its strategic location on key international maritime trade routes. Sagarmala aims to modernize India's Ports so that port-led development can be augmented and coastlines can be developed to contribute to India's growth. It also aims at "transforming the existing Ports into modern world-class Ports and integrate the development of the Ports, the Industrial clusters and hinterland and efficient evacuation systems through road, rail, inland and coastal waterways resulting in Ports becoming the drivers of economic activity in coastal areas."

East Coast Economic Corridor a sagarmala initiative by goverment of india

The East Coast Economic Corridor (ECEC) is India’s first coastal economic corridor covering 2500km of India's coastline, to be developed with the help of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The ADB is to invest $500 million in infrastructural development of the project. Since late 2013, ADB has been supporting studies on transport corridors in India. Phase 1 of the ECEC is Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC) which had been approved by the ADB board in October 2016. The ECEC running along the entire east coast of India from Kolkata to Kanyakumari, is a multimodal, regional maritime corridor that can play a vital role in unifying the large domestic market, as well as integrating the Indian economy with the dynamic global value chains of Southeast and East Asia. It would play a crucial role in the Government of India’s (GoI) Make in India campaign and also supports the port-led industrialization strategy under the Sagar Mala initiative and the Act East Policy by linking domestic companies with the vibrant global production networks of East and Southeast Asia.
