The Zone 9 bloggers are a blogging collective from Ethiopia, who maintain a blog in Amharic. On 25 and 26 April 2014, the Ethiopian government arrested six members of the Zone 9 bloggers network and three other journalists, who faced terrorism charges for their writing at the time. The action had sparked an online protest.
Zerihun Yetmgeta Yetmgeta is an Ethiopian artist. His paintings and mixed media pieces combine elements of contemporary art with traditional forms of his native Ethiopia, particularly from the icons and scrolls of Ethiopian Orthodox art.

JTV Ethiopia is an Ethiopian free-to-air satellite television channel owned by Yosef Gebre, a journalist, singer and philanthropist who previously began his TV show in EBS TV before establishing his own channel. It is based in Phoenix, Arizona, U.S and launched in 2016 on Nilesat. In May 2020, the channel in its standard-definition (SD) television platform was officially closed as a result of poor revenue from each employee and the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the station for less advertising income. However, the channel still exists in HD and is transmitted via Ethiosat.
Yadesa Bojia is a Seattle-based Ethiopian graphic designer and artist. Bojia has exhibited regionally since 2006. In 2010, he rose to international acclaim when his design was selected for the African Union's flag. Bojia has shown his work in exhibitions, completed commissioned works, and given public talks about the themes of his work, including human rights, minority rights, Africa, and justice. Bojia's style as a painter draws on African impressionism.

She was interviewed by Folu Storms and for the BBC World Service's radio programme and listed as one of Forbes' Most Promising Entrepreneurs in 2016.
African design encompasses many forms of expression and refers to the forms of design from the continent of Africa and the African diaspora including urban design, architectural design, interior design, product design, art, and fashion design. Africa's many diverse countries are sources of vibrant design with African design influences visible in historical and contemporary art and culture around the world. The study of African design is still limited, particularly from the viewpoint of Africans, and the opportunity to expand its current definition by exploring African visual representations and introducing contemporary design applications remains immense.
The fashion industry in Nigeria plays an important cultural role and contributes significantly to the country's economics. Casual attire is commonly worn but formal and traditional styles are also worn depending on the occasion. Clothing incorporates a variety of colours, fabrics, and embellishments. Many of the component cultures of Nigeria wear styles that are unique to their tribal society and customs. Nigeria is known not only for its fashionable textiles and garments, but also for its fashion designers who have increasingly gained international recognition.
Shade Thomas-Fahm, born Victoria Omọ́rọ́níkẹ Àdùkẹ́Fọlashadé Thomas, is regarded as "Nigeria's first modern fashion designer” and "one of Africa's most important designers, and a pioneering figure in Nigerian fashion" She was the first fashion designer to open a fashion boutique in Nigeria and subsequently opened a number of boutiques at various locations. Shade Thomas Fahm brought attention to the Nigerian fashion industry. Her influence on Nigerian fashion has endured since the 60s to date, within Nigeria and abroad. "Her fervor and creativity laid the foundation for the fashion industry, while she also inspired a plethora of designers to pursue their passion."
The Tulu Moye Geothermal Power Station, is a 50 MW (67,000 hp) geothermal power station, under construction in Ethiopia. When fully developed, the power station will be the first grid-ready independently developed geothermal power station in the country. The developers of this power plant, plan to expand it to 150 megawatts capacity, in the second phase, planned in the following five years.
