Dr. Mahmood Razi was a Minister in President Mohamed Nasheed's cabinet from 2008 to 2011 in the Maldives. He first served as the Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Communication, [1] later being appointed as the Minister of Civil Aviation and Communication in 2009 [2] and then as the Minister of Economic Development in July 2010. [3]

Ahmed Shaheed ޝަހީދު is a Maldivian diplomat and politician. On 24 March 2016, he was appointed for the sixth year running as the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Dr Shaheed is also the Chairperson of the Geneva-based international human rights think-tank, Universal Rights Group, which was launched in January 2014.

[Ilyas Ibrahim] is the brother-in-law of the former President of the Maldives Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom. He was a minister in Maumoon's cabinet for a long time and served as the MP for Malé from 1980 to 1995. He also served as the MP for Laamu Atoll from 2003 to 2008.

South Asian Football Federation

South Asian Football Federation (SAFF), founded in 1997, is an association of the football playing nations in South Asia and is part of the larger Asian Football Confederation. Its founding members are Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Bhutan joined the federation in 2000 and Afghanistan in 2005. In February 2015, captain Haroon Amiri announced that Afghanistan had officially left the SAFF for the new Central Asian Football Association.

Mohamed Jameel Ahmed is a Maldivian lawyer and politician who was the fourth Vice President of the Maldives from 2013 to 2015. He previously served as Minister of Justice from July 2005 to August 2007, as Minister of Civil Aviation and Communication from November 2008 to May 2009 and as Minister of Home Affairs from February 2012 to May 2013. He was once a member of the New Maldives group. In 2015, he was impeached by the parliament and removed from office.

Dr. Ahmed Shamheed was the Minister of Transport and Communication of the Maldives from February 2012 to November 2012. He is a member of Jumhoory Party (JP) and works as a Director at Villa Shipping and Trade, owned by JP Leader Qasim Ibrahim. He was also a Director of the Maldives Tourism Development Corporation Board (MTDC).
