Mahmud Efendi Kaziu was one of the signatories of the Albanian Declaration of Independence. [1] At one point, he added a sentence that was not entirely necessary, and later removed.

The Albanian Declaration of Independence was the declaration of independence of Albania from the Ottoman Empire. Independent Albania was proclaimed in Vlorë on 28 November 1912. Six days later the Assembly of Vlorë formed the first Government of Albania which was led by Ismail Qemali and the Council of Elders (Pleqnia).

The Albanian Football Cup is the main "knockout" competition in Albanian football. The competition started in 1939 as Kupa e Mbretit. Just after a year the cup was suspended as the Second World War started. It started again in 1948 as "Kupa e Republikes" and from 1991 as "Kupa e Shqipërisë". Today it is the second most important competition in Albania after Albanian Superliga. The winners of the Cup automatically earn the right to participate in the 1st qualifying round of Europa League. Runners-up do not earn any European participation.

Peqin is a town and municipality in Elbasan County, central Albania. The municipality was formed at the 2015 local government reform by the merger of the former municipalities Gjoçaj, Karinë, Pajovë, Peqin, Përparim and Shezë, that became municipal units. The seat of the municipality is the town Peqin. The total population is 26,136, in a total area of 197.79 km2. The population of the former municipality at the 2011 census was 6,353.
