Maidul Islam is a Jatiya Party (Ershad) politician and the former Member of Parliament of Barisal-4.
Islam was elected to parliament from Barisal-4 as a Jatiya Party candidate in 1986 and 1988. [1] [2]
Barisal Division is one of the eight administrative divisions of Bangladesh. Located in the south-central part of the country, it has an area of 13,225 km2 (5,106 sq mi), and a population of 93,25,825 at the 2022 Census. It is the least populous Division in Bangladesh. It is bounded by Dhaka Division on the north, the Bay of Bengal on the south, Chittagong Division on the east and Khulna Division on the west. The administrative capital, Barisal city, lies in the Padma River delta on an offshoot of the Arial Khan River. Syed Azizul Huq, also known by his daak naam Nanna Mia, was a Bangladeshi politician and former member of parliament for Barisal-2 in the 1986 and 1988 Bangladeshi general elections. He was a member of the Provincial Council of East Pakistan, Minister of Commerce and Minister of Industry.
