Maikeli Lomu (born 29 October 1997) is a footballer who played as a defender for the Veitongo FC. Born in the United States, he is a Tonga international.
Lomu was born on 29 October 1997 in Spanish Fork, United States. He was born to a Tongan father and an American mother. [1] He is a native of Spanish Fork, United States. He attended Spanish Fork High School in the United States. [2] He has been married. He owned a pottery studio with his wife. He has three daughters. [3] He has lived in Texas, United States.
Lomu mainly operates as a midfielder. He specifically operates as a central midfielder. He played for his high school soccer team. He was offered a college soccer scholarship but the scholarship was canceled after he served a Mormon mission. In 2024, he signed for Tongan side Veitongo FC. He is a Tonga international. He was first called up to the Tonga national football team for 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification. [4] However, the team was eliminated from 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification in the first round.
