Mak and the Dudes was a boy band from the Philippines. Their debut album was released in 2007, entitled Oldies But Kiddies . The group consisted of Makisig Morales, Jairus Aquino, Kyle Balili, Rhap Salazar and Robert Villar.

History

Mak and the Dudes was officially launched in 2007 on the variety show, ASAP .

Post-Mak and the Dudes and disbandment

Like Sugarpop of GMA, the all-child group was officially disbanded in 2010 due to the reformatting of the show they appeared in, ASAP. All former members became actors, with Rhap Salazar also becoming a solo artist and part of the movie Fr. Jejemon with late comedy legend Dolphy Quizon. Salazar was also seen in the sitcom Luv U in which he played a bad boy in school. Robert Villar moved to GMA in around 2008 and is currently still an actor.

Little Big Star is a singing contest aired every Saturday afternoon on ABS-CBN in the Philippines and worldwide on The Filipino Channel. The show was hosted by a Filipina singer and actress Sarah Geronimo. The series premiered on Saturday, from September 24, 2005 to February 3, 2007, replacing Hoy Gising! Richelle Ann Mallari Loyola-Avanzado, better known by her stage name Jessa Zaragoza, is a Filipina commercial model, singer and actress. She is known as the "Phenomenal Diva" and "Jukebox Queen of the 90s" for her first studio album Just Can't Help Feelin in 1997 with the hit carrier single "Bakit Pa?," which became a number one ballad in the Philippines and a top 40 hit during 1997–1999. The album also was certified by PARI and certified platinum. Its carrier single "Bakit Pa?" was also released by OctoArts Films and GMA Films as a Valentine's Day film offering directed by multi-awarded film Director Jose Javier Reyes. The ceremony was hosted by Aga Muhlach, Kris Aquino and Toni Gonzaga and directed by Al Quinn.

The 18th PMPC Star Awards for Television took place at the Aliw Theater, Pasay, Philippines on October 23, 2004 and was broadcast on RPN Channel 9 on Saturday Night Playhouse. The awards night was hosted by Lorna Tolentino, Boy Abunda and Piolo Pascual.

José Rizalino "Joel" de León Torre is a Filipino actor and producer who is best known for his numerous films such as the biographical film José Rizal (1998), crime thriller film On the Job (2013) and the historical drama Amigo (2010), with the latter winning him the Best Actor Award at the 17th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival.
