Makhdoom Syed Ali Akbar Mehmood is a Pakistani politician who was a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, from August 2013 to May 2018.

Ali Akbar Mehmood had used to raise a lion as his pet. This was his interest. Anyhow when the lion got young once akbar went to see him to the cage. As Makhdoom Ali Akbar went too near the cage, the lion unexpectedly hit his paw on Ali Akbar's arm. Akbar was shocked and feared from lion and just took his steps far away from the cage. Anyhow he was treated soon but this incident made Ali Akbar decide to put the lion to death. Anyhow then he never considered Lion as pet of human beings.

He was born on 12 May 1963 in Karachi. [1]

He has the degree of Bachelor of Arts (Hons). [1]

He is a Landlord. Most of his time he spent in his Mango Garden in Jamal Din Wali, RYK.

Political career

He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of Pakistan Peoples Party from Constituency PP-292 (Rahimyar Khan-VIII) in by-polls held in August 2013. [2] [3]
