Biography

Malia began studying music as a child, taking piano lessons at age eight and joining choir in middle school. [4] However, shyness drove her to pursue a traditional career path [5] [4] and she moved to California for college, [1] graduating with a degree in political science and sociology with the intention to go to law school. [4] After graduation, she decided to pursue music seriously and began practicing guitar every day. [2] She released her first single in 2015. [6]

Matt Martians of The Internet invited Malia to their studio where she met the band. [4] She went on to collaborate with Syd [7] on her track "Dirty Laundry" [1] and opening for Syd on her 2017 West Coast tour. [6] [1] Malia collaborated with Soulection on the release of her single "Play Sides" [8] and played their Los Angeles tour stop. [4]

Malia released her first album Unpolished in April 2021. [9] Later that year, she was asked by Alicia Keys to cover a song for the 20th anniversary of Songs In A Minor . [10] [11] [12]

In 2022, she announced a new EP What's After 'I Love You?' coming March 4, 2022 with a first single "Only One." [13] [14] The EP is a conceptual work about heartbreak. [15] [10]

Andreya Triana is a British singer and songwriter, Red Bull Music Academy alumna and MOBO nominated artist hailing from South East London, Her debut album, Lost Where I Belong released in September 2010 on London based record label Ninja Tune and featured singles such as "A Town Called Obsolete", "Far Closer" and the title track "Lost where I belong". Sydney Loren Bennett, known professionally as Syd, is an American singer and songwriter from Los Angeles, California. She initially gained recognition as a member of the alternative hip hop collective Odd Future, and went on and founded her own band the Internet, in 2011. Bennett released her 2017 debut solo album Fin, followed by the EP Always Never Home.

Mitski self-released her first two albums, Lush (2012) and Retired from Sad, New Career in Business (2013), while studying at Purchase College's Conservatory of Music. Lotta Lindgren, known by her stage name Léon, is a Swedish singer and songwriter born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. Léon's rise to becoming an international music sensation began with the release of the single "Tired of Talking" on SoundCloud in July 2015. To date, Léon has released three full-length albums, LÉON, Apart, and most recently Circles. She also collaborated with Jonas Blue on the house single "Hear Me Say".

Jessica Reyez is a Canadian singer and songwriter. Her 2016 single "Figures" peaked at number 58 on the Canadian Hot 100 in 2017 and was certified triple Platinum by Music Canada and Platinum by the RIAA. Her 2017 EP, Kiddo, led to four nominations at the 2018 Juno Awards, winning Breakthrough Artist. Her follow up EP, Being Human in Public, was released in 2018. It won R&B/Soul Recording of The Year at the 2019 Juno Awards and was nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album at the 2020 Grammy Awards. Ndivhuwo Elaine Mukheli, known mononymously as Elaine, is a South African R&B singer and songwriter from Pretoria. While studying law at the University of the Witwatersrand, she self-released her debut EP Elements in September 2019. The EP reached No. 1 on both the national iTunes and Apple Music album charts, making her the first independent female artist to do so.Elements was certified Platinum by RISA a year after its initial release and was nominated for Best R&B/Soul Album at the 26th South African Music Awards. Elaine was subsequently signed to Columbia Records in December 2020.

Charmaine Shamiso Mapimbiro, professionally known as Sha Sha, is a Zimbabwean-born South African singer from Mutare. Hailed by many as "the queen of amapiano", her career began in 2011, at the age of 19 and later was discovered by Audius Mtawarira. She gained popularity for her collaborations with South African amapiano producers such as DJ Maphorisa and Kabza de Small.

Olivia Lynne Lunny is a Canadian singer-songwriter and musician. Lunny was crowned a winner on CTV's singing competition The Launch and scored her first Top 40 hit.

Kelc Galluzzo, known by the stage name Jetty Bones, is an American indie pop singer-songwriter from Urbana, Ohio. Galluzzo released a series of EPs in the 2010s before signing to Rise Records and releasing her debut album, Push Back, in 2021. Her backing band over the years has included Katie Cole of DangerKids, RB Roe of Save Face, and Dylan Mattheisen of Tiny Moving Parts.
