Malibongwe "Mali" Maketa (born 6 October 1980) is a former South African cricketer who represented Border in South African domestic cricket. He is the current interim head coach for South Africa's upcoming three-match Test tour of Australia, [1] which begins on 17 December 2022. After stints as head assistant coach of the South African men's national team and heading up the SA 'A' setup and the national academy.[ citation needed ]
Maketa was born in Port Elizabeth, [2] and raised in King William's Town, [3] where he attended Dale College. A former South Africa under-15s representative, [4] he made his sole first-class appearance for Border in October 2001,in a Supersport Series match against Free State. [5] Maketa played a further two seasons for Border B,but never returned to the senior line-up. [4] After the conclusion of his playing career,Maketa began coaching at school level,with his first position being at Western Province Preparatory School working alongside the renowned Paul Nel where he learnt his trade. Entering the domestic set-up,he was appointed assistant coach to the Titans franchise for the 2006–07 season (under head coach Richard Pybus),and in May 2008 was named head coach of the Northerns provincial team. [6] During his tenure as coach,Northerns won two CSA Provincial titles,winning the one-day competition during the 2010–11 season and the Twenty20 competition the following season. [7] In May 2012,Maketa returned to the Titans franchise as an assistant coach to Matthew Maynard. [6] He switched to the Warriors franchise in 2013,as assistant to Piet Botha,and on Botha's resignation in December 2014 was appointed acting head coach. [8] He was permanently appointed to the position in February 2015, [9] becoming only the third black head coach of a franchise team,after Geoffrey Toyana and Paul Adams. [10] In September 2015,Maketa gained his level-four coaching certificate from Cricket South Africa,the highest qualification available in the country. [7]
Justin Lee Langer is an Australian cricket coach and former cricketer. He is the former coach of the Australia men's national team,having been appointed to the role in May 2018 and leaving in February 2022 and became the coach of Lucknow based IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants in July,2023. A left-handed batsman,Langer is best known for his partnership with Matthew Hayden as Australia's test opening batsmen during the early and mid-2000s,considered one of the most successful ever. Representing Western Australia domestically,Langer played English county cricket for Middlesex and also Somerset. He holds the record for the most runs scored at first-class level by an Australian. As Australia's coach,he led the team to victory in the 2021 T20 World Cup.
Mark Verdon Boucher is a South African cricket coach and former cricketer who played all three formats of the game. Boucher is regarded as one of the best wicket-keeper batsmen of all time,and holds the record for the most Test dismissals by a wicket-keeper,with 532 catches and 555 total dismissals. Boucher was a member of the South Africa team that won the 1998 ICC KnockOut Trophy,the only time the country has won an ICC trophy till date.

Previously,he played international cricket for South Africa national cricket team between 2006 and 2018. He also briefly served as the bowling coach of the Pakistan national cricket team in 2023.

Alfonso Clive Thomas is a South African former professional cricketer. He is a right arm fast-medium bowler and a big hitting lower-order batsman. Playing in South African domestic cricket for North West,Northerns,the Titans,the Lions,and the Dolphins,Thomas has also played English county cricket for Warwickshire and Somerset,Indian Premier League matches for the Pune Warriors,and in Australian domestic cricket for the Adelaide Strikers and the Perth Scorchers. In June 2014,Thomas took four wickets in four balls in a County Championship game against Sussex. He was a pioneer of death bowling in the early years of T20 cricket.
Rilee Roscoe Rossouw is a South African cricketer who plays for the South African cricket team. Rossouw currently represents Punjab Kings,Pretoria Capitals,Quetta Gladiators and Jaffna Kings. He is a left-hand batsman and a right arm off-spin bowler. Rossouw made history as the first South African batsman to score a 100 in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup which he did against the Bangladesh national cricket team.
Dillon du Preez is a South African retired cricketer who played for the Eagles and the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was a right-arm fast bowler and bats right-handed. He was born at Port Elizabeth. Du Perez is currently interim head coach of the South Africa women's national cricket team.

Pierre de Bruyn is a South African former cricketer. Having made his debut in first-class cricket in the 1995–96 South African cricket season,de Bruyn proceeded to play first-class,List A and Twenty20 cricket for several teams as an all-rounder and occasional wicket-keeper until his retirement during the 2009–10 South African cricket season. Following his retirement,he moved into coaching. He was appointed the head coach of English county side Leicestershire in 2016,before resigning the following year. In December 2018,he was appointed as the head coach of the Namibia national cricket team.

His batting style is right-handed and he is known for his left-arm unorthodox spin bowling. He is known for his passionate celebrations when taking wickets. Shamsi plays for the Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League. He also represents the Paarl Royals in the SA20.
