Mamadou Thierno Barry (born 20 March 2005) is a Senegalese professional footballer who plays as a defender for the Belgian Pro League side Union Saint-Gilloise. [1]

Career

Tromsø

A centre back, he signed for Tromsø IL from Senegalese club Mawade Wade in March 2024, agreeing to a four-year contract with the club. [2] [3] [4]

He made his debut in the NM Cupen against Vålerenga Fotball on 1 May 2024. [5] He made his league debut for Tromsø on 25 May 2024 in the Eliteserien against Fredrikstad FK. [6] He made his debut in the UEFA Conference League against Kilmarnock F.C. on 8 August 2024. [7] He scored his first league goal for the club on 22 September 2024 in a 3-0 win against Sandefjord Fotball. [8]

In January 2025 Union Saint Gilloise confirmed the signing of Barry on a contract running through 2029. [1]

The 2012 season was Tromsø's 10th consecutive year in Tippeligaen, and their 26th season in the top flight of Norwegian football. It was Per Mathias Høgmo's third and final season as the club's manager. Tromsø participated in the Tippeligaen finishing 4th, the 2012 Norwegian Football Cup where they were beaten in the final by Hødd.
