Mamuta Art Research Center is an independent center for art research in Jerusalem, Israel.

History

The Mamuta Art Research Center was established in 2009 by artists and curators in Jerusalem. The Center was initially located in El-Dan House in Ein Kerem, one of Jerusalem suburbs. It moved to Hansen House in Jerusalem in 2012. [1] The center is supported financially by Ostrovsky Family Fund. [2]

Ein Karem Village in Jerusalem

Ein Karem is an ancient village southwest of historical Jerusalem, and now a neighborhood of the modern city, within Jerusalem District, Israel. It is the site of the Hadassah Medical Center. It was a Palestinian village in Mandatory Palestine's Jerusalem Subdistrict, depopulated during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War on July 16, 1948.

Hadassah Medical Center is an Israeli medical organization established in 1934 that operates two university hospitals at Ein Kerem and Mount Scopus in Jerusalem as well as schools of medicine, dentistry, nursing, and pharmacology affiliated with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. UCCA Center for Contemporary Art or UCCA is a leading Chinese independent institution of contemporary art. Founded in 2007. Located at the heart of the 798 Art District in, China, it welcomes more than one million visitors a year. Originally known as the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, UCCA underwent a major restructuring in 2017 and now operates as the UCCA Group, comprising two distinct entities: UCCA Foundation, a registered non-profit that organizes exhibitions and research, stages public programs, and undertakes community outreach; and UCCA Enterprises, a family of art-driven retail and educational ventures. In 2018, UCCA opened an additional museum, UCCA Dune, in Beidaihe, a seaside resort town close to Beijing. The museum had 385,295 visitors in 2020, and ranked 55th in the List of most-visited art museums in the world.

Nira Pereg

Nira Pereg is an Israeli artist. She spent the 90s in New-York, where she received her BFA from Cooper Union at NYC. On her return to Israel, she graduated from the Bezalel MFA studio program in Jerusalem, and has been teaching internationally ever since.

The Square is a 2017 satirical film written and directed by Ruben Östlund and starring Claes Bang, Elisabeth Moss, Dominic West and Terry Notary. The film is about a curator (Bang) who struggles with various personal issues, including the theft of his mobile phone and affair with a journalist (Moss). Amid these distractions, a controversial promotional video for an art installation is published without his oversight, threatening his career and sparking a debate about freedom of expression and political correctness.

Daniel Landau

Daniel Landau - is an entrepreneur, artist and researcher. His work in the field of virtual reality has been presented in museums, festivals and conferences worldwide. Landau is involved in the Israeli startup scene developing behavioral assessment and learning tools using virtual reality.

Boaz M. Levin is a Berlin-based artist, writer, and curator. Levin is the co-founder, together with Vera Tollmann and Hito Steyerl, of the Research Center for Proxy Politics. He was co-curator of the 7th edition of the Biennale für aktuelle Fotografie, which opened September 2017, together with Florian Ebner, Kerstin Meinicke, Kathrin Schonegg and Christin Müller. He is the co-curator of the 3rd Chennai Photo Biennale, in Chennai India. Levin is the son of poet and translator Gabriel Levin and Anat Flug-Levin, a psychoanalyst. He is the grandson of Noach Flug. He is the editor of Cabinet Magazine's Kiosk. His essay, "On Distance", was published by Atlas Projectos, Berlin, as part of the Next Spring series of occasional reviews.

Served as the director of the Sharett Institute of Oncology at Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center and as the director of Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem. Peretz's areas of practice include: breast cancer research and treatment, immunological approaches to cancer treatment, and the development of cancer treatment using cannabis.
