Ranjeet Bedi popularly known simply as Ranjeet, is an Indian actor and film director born in Jandiala Guru near Amritsar (Punjab), best known to work in Bollywood. He has played mostly character roles, with roles as the villain dominating his over 200 Hindi films. Ranjeet played a positive character throughout on the TV series Aisa Des Hai Mera. Poornima (singer) Indian singer

Poornima Shrestha, is an Indian playback singer. Starting as a child singer, she later reinvented into a leading playback singer in Bollywood during the 1990s. She started her career as a child singer in Andaz (1971) under legendary music director duo Shankar Jaikishan for the hit song "Hai Na Bolo Bolo" alongside Mohammed Rafi and Suman Kalyanpur. Throughout her childhood, she then worked with music composers of the golden era including Naushad, Madan Mohan, C. Ramchandra, Salil Choudhury, Anil Biswas, S.D. Burman, Kalyanji-Anandji and Laxmikant–Pyarelal. Poornima formed a successful collaboration with R.D. Burman with such popular numbers, "Tera Mujhse Hai Pehle" from Aa Gale Lag Jaa (1973) and "Kya Hua Tera Vada" from Hum Kisise Kum Naheen (1977); both earned her nominations for the Filmfare Best Female Playback Award becoming the youngest nominee in the category at the age of 11.

The 25th Filmfare Awards were held in 1978.

Radha Saluja is an Indian actress who has worked mainly in Hindi cinema, Punjabi cinema and Tamil, with a few Bengali, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada movies. An alumna of the Film and Television Institute of India, she is known for her films opposite M. G. Ramachandran like Indru Pol Endrum Vaazhga and Idhayakkani, both of which were blockbusters in Tamil in 1977 and 1975 respectively. She is known for her Hindi films like Haar Jeet (1972) and Ek Mutthi Aasmaan (1973). In 1975, she appeared in the breakthrough Punjabi film Morni (1975).

The muslim social film is about the right of young generation to the marriage of their choice. It had music by Madan Mohan with lyrics by Sahir Ludhianvi, featuring notable filmi-ghazals such as "Rang Aur Noor Ki Baraat", performed by Mohammed Rafi and "Naghma O Sher Ki Saugaat", performed by Lata Mangeshkar.
