Rudra Mohammad Shahidullah EP was a Bangladeshi poet noted for his revolutionary and romantic poetry. He is considered one of the leading Bengali poets of the 1970s. He received Munir Chaudhury Memorial Award in 1980 and Ekushey Padak in 2024

The storyline is a remake of the Telugu movie Kalisundam Raa, and features similarities with William Shakespeare's classical story, Romeo and Juliet.

Tanmatras are rudimentary, undifferentiated, subtle elements from which gross elements are produced. There are five sense perceptions – hearing, touch, sight, taste and smell – and there are five tanmatras corresponding to those five sense perceptions and the five sense-organs. The tanmatras combine and re-combine in different ways to produce the gross elements – ether, air, fire, water, and earth – which make up the gross universe perceived by the senses. The senses come into contact with the objects and carry impressions of them to the manas (mind), which receives and arranges them into precepts.

Scripted by Samuthirakani, it is a remake of his 2016 Tamil film Appa directed by Samuthirakani with Yuvasri Lakshmi and Nasath reprising their roles. The film stars Jayaram, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Iniya, and Sarayu in the lead roles. It was released in Kerala on 19 October 2017 coinciding with Deepavali. The movie nicely captures the area around Hindustan Newsprint Limited (HNL), located at Velloor in Kottayam District in Kerala.
