Mandell Maughan is an American film and television actress. She is best known for starring as Maggie in Me, Myself & I on CBS and Lisa Casper in Resident Alien on Syfy. She also played Victoria King, for four seasons, in the comedy fan favorite Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ .

Early life

Maughan was born and raised in Point Loma, a peninsula within southern California, often referred to as "Little Portugal". [1] She spent much of her youth traveling, internationally, as a member of The San Diego Children's Choir. After graduating from the University of San Diego High School, Maughan attended The University of Arizona and became a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Professional Acting from the competitive Arizona Repertory Theatre program, with a double minor in Classical Voice and Portuguese. Following her graduation, Maughan immediately moved to Los Angeles to start her career in film and television.

Career

Mandell Maughan began her career starring in the title role of the Prison Break spin-off series, Prison Break: Proof of Innocence . She would go on to appear in the cult film Midnight Movie and several television shows including Ghost Whisperer , House of Lies , and Undateable .

Maughan is best known for starring as Victoria King in the reality show spoof, Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ . Shortly after, she would play Maggie in the CBS comedy Me, Myself and I with Bobby Moynihan, Jack Dylan Grazer and John Laroquette. Following, Maughan starred as Lisa Casper in the Syfy thriller, Resident Alien based on the comic book of the same name. Throughout this time, she made appearances in the Netflix film Between Two Ferns and the Netflix series Grace and Frankie .

Mandell has acted in over 100 episodes of television including Black-ish , The Neighborhood and the Showtime drama The Affair .

In addition to film and television, Maughan has made comedic appearances in podcasts such as Comedy Bang! Bang! with Scott Aukerman and Spontaneanation with Paul F. Tompkins. She has also performed live at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, The Second City and IO Theater.

Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ is an American comedy series on the Seeso comedy subscription streaming service. The series, created by Kulap Vilaysack, is a semi-scripted parody of the reality television franchise Million Dollar Listing. Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ previewed its pilot episode on February 20, 2016 and officially premiered on March 17, 2016, and the series' second season premiered in the fall of 2016. On December 12, 2016, Seeso renewed the series for a third and fourth season. On August 9, 2017, Seeso announced the shutdown of its service by the end of the year, leaving Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ without a home. On July 15, 2019, it was reported that the previously unaired fourth season would air on Pluto TV. As of 2023 the series is no longer available on Pluto.TV.

<i>Resident Alien</i> (TV series) American television series

Resident Alien is an American science fiction mystery comedy-drama television series created by Chris Sheridan, based on the comic book of the same title by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse, that premiered its 10-episode first season on January 27, 2021, on Syfy. It stars Alan Tudyk in the title role. In March 2021, it was renewed for a second season which premiered January 26, 2022. The second season consists of 16 episodes, split into two eight-episode parts; the second half premiered on August 10, 2022. In July 2022, it was renewed for an eight-episode third season, which premiered February 14, 2024. In June 2024, it was renewed for a fourth season and will move to USA Network.
