Mandy Matney

Mandy Matney is an American investigative journalist, podcast host, and author, best known for her reporting on the murders of Maggie and Paul Murdaugh. She hosts podcasts called Cup of Justice and True Sunlight (previously known as the Murdaugh Murders Podcast). The Murdaugh Murders Podcast hit No. 1 on Apple Podcasts in September 2021 and Hulu is developing a scripted series based on the podcast. [1] [2]

Early Life and Education

Matney was born and raised in Kansas and graduated from the University of Kansas in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Mass Communications. [3] She worked for small-town newspapers including the Waynesville Daily Guide and Danville Commercial News before moving to South Carolina, where she began covering the Murdaugh family starting in 2019.
