The Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão is a Brazilian free-to-air television network founded on Wednesday, 19 August 1981, by the businessman and television personality Silvio Santos. The company was established after a public tender by the Brazilian Federal Government to form two new networks, created from revoked concessions of the defunct Tupi and Excelsior networks. The SBT was founded on the same day that the concession agreement was signed, and that the act was broadcast live by the network, so that this was his first program aired. Before acquiring the concessions of the four stations that were to form the SBT, Grupo Silvio Santos had since 1976 the concession of Rio de Janeiro's channel 11, known as TVS Rio de Janeiro, which was a fundamental step to give life to the SBT.

Caio Kraiser Blinder is a Brazilian journalist, writer and TV presenter. Blinder lives in New Jersey, where he has hosted GNT's Manhattan Connection since its inception in 1993. He is also a correspondent for Brazilian radio Jovem Pan, writes for the newspaper Diário de Notícias and for the Brazilian magazines Exame and Primeira Leitura. He has master's degrees in Latin American studies from Ohio University and International Relations from the University of Notre Dame. Blinder comes from a Jewish family and lives with his daughters Ana and Aiza and his wife Alma, of Philippine origins. In his youth, he took part in the Jewish youth movement Chazit Hanoar, connected to the Congregação Israelita Paulista.
Orgulho e Paixão is a Brazilian telenovela produced and broadcast by TV Globo. It premiered on 20 March 2018, replacing Tempo de Amar, and concluded on 24 September 2018, being replaced by Espelho da Vida. Created by Marcos Bernstein, the plot is inspired by the novels: Sense and Sensibility (1811), Pride and Prejudice (1813), Emma (1815) Northanger Abbey (1818) and Lady Susan (1871), all by Jane Austen.
Globoplay is a Brazilian subscription video on-demand over-the-top streaming service owned by Grupo Globo. The service primarily distributes films and television series produced by Estúdios Globo with the service also hosting content from other providers, content add-ons, live sporting events, and video rental and purchasing services. It was created on October 26, 2015, and launched in Brazil on November 3 of the same year. In 2020, it reached the milestone of 20 million registered users and became the most used national streaming service in Brazil.

Launched on 15 March 2020, CNN Brazil is owned by Novus Media, a joint-venture between Douglas Tavolaro, former header of Record's news division, and Rubens Menin, owner of MRV Engenharia. Novus Media has a licensing agreement with original CNN channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery. CNN Brazil is the second local franchise of CNN in South America, after CNN Chile.

While based largely in New York, she became a frequent contributor to Brazilian television, print, and radio media on the culture of the United States and events in American politics. She has been a columnist at Folha de São Paulo and O Estado de S. Paulo and a producer at Rede Globo, and she contributed to the talk show Manhattan Connection for 16 years.
Mundo da Lua is a Brazilian children's fantasy television series that aired on TV Cultura from 6 October 1991 to 27 September 1992, totalling 52 episodes. It was created by Flávio de Souza and starred Luciano Amaral. It is currently shown on TV Rá-Tim-Bum.
Sítio do Picapau Amarelo is a Brazilian children's television series, based on the work of Monteiro Lobato, adapted by Márcio Trigo and Roberto Talma. It was the fifth television adaptation of the work, after the first version shown by Rede Tupi between 1952 and 1963, the second version shown by TV Cultura in 1964, the third version shown by Band between 1967 and 1969 and the fourth version shown by Globo itself between 1977 and 1986.
Gloob, also known as Mundo Gloob, is a Brazilian pay television children's channel that was launched on 15 June 2012, aimed at children 6 to 12 years old. Owned, operated and part of Canais Globo, a television broadcast network, and subsidiary of Grupo Globo. Its name is an anagram of the word 'Globo', as in 'O Globo', reversing the letter "O" before the "B".
The Others is a Brazilian streaming series produced by Globoplay. It was created and written by Lucas Paraizo in collaboration with Fernanda Torres, Flavio Araujo, Pedro Riguetti, Bárbara Duvivier, Thiago Dottori and Bruno Ribeiro and directed by Luisa Lima in partnership with Lara Carmo.
