<span class="mw-page-title-main">NAIA men's basketball championship</span> College basketball tournament

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics men's basketball national championship has been held annually since 1937. The tournament was established by James Naismith to crown a national champion for smaller colleges and universities. Through the 2019–20 season, the NAIA Tournament featured 32 teams, and the entire tournament was contested at one location in one week, rather than multiple locations over a series of weekends. Beginning with the 2021 edition, the tournament expanded to 48 teams, starting with play at 16 regional sites, with only the winners at these sites playing at the final venue. The 2022 tournament expanded again to 64 teams. From 1992 to 2020, the NAIA sponsored a Division II championship. The Division I tournament is played in Kansas City, Missouri, while in 2020, the Division II tournament was to be held for the last time at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota; however, the tournaments were called off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The NAIA returned to a one-division setup in 2021. The NAIA games can be watched online through the official NAIA provider StretchInternet.

Manhattan College is a private, Catholic, liberal arts university in the Bronx, New York City. Originally established in 1853 by the Brothers of the Christian Schools as an academy for day students, it was later incorporated as an institution of higher education through a charter granted by the New York State Board of Regents. In 1922, it moved from Manhattan to the Riverdale section of the Bronx, roughly 6.4 miles (10.3 km) north of its original location on 131st Street in Manhattanville.

It is located on the campus of Manhattan College and is the home of the Manhattan Jaspers athletic teams including men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball. The building has the largest indoor track in New York City.

Barry "Slice" Rohrssen is an American college basketball coach and the former head men's basketball coach at Manhattan College. A native of Brooklyn, New York, he was named the 22nd head coach in Manhattan Jaspers basketball history on April 25, 2006. Rohrssen was fired on March 9, 2011 after going 58–95 over five seasons. He has also served as an assistant under John Calipari at Kentucky and at St. John's University under Chris Mullin.

The Manhattan Jaspers men's basketball team is the basketball team that represents Manhattan College in The Bronx, New York City, New York, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They have won the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tournament championship five times. The Jaspers have had three players named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Year, most recently Luis Flores in 2003. Luis Flores is also the Manhattan Jaspers all-time leading scorer with 2046 points from 2001-2004. Their current head coach is John Gallagher, who was hired from the University of Hartford in March of 2023.

Richard Garner is an American former basketball player who is best known for his NCAA Division I career at Manhattan College. Garner played for the Jaspers between 1969–70 and 1971–72. During his four-year career, he scored over 1,000 points, has a career shooting percentage of better than .500, and set a since-broken single season school record 121 assists in 1970–71. Garner was the first player from Manhattan College to win the Haggerty Award, an annual award presented to the best male collegiate basketball player in the greater New York City area since 1935–36. He earned it as a senior and was the co-recipient with Fordham's Tom Sullivan.

The 2019–20 Manhattan Jaspers basketball team represented Manhattan College in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Jaspers, led by 9th-year head coach Steve Masiello, played their home games at Draddy Gymnasium in Riverdale, New York as members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They finished the season 13–18 overall, 8–12 in MAAC play to finish in a tie for eighth place. As the #9 seed in the MAAC tournament, they defeated #8 seed Fairfield 61–43 in the first round before losing to #1 seed Siena 49–63 in the quarterfinals.

The Jaspers, led by tenth-year head coach Steve Masiello, played their home games at Draddy Gymnasium in Riverdale, New York as members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They finished the season 7–13, 6–12 in MAAC play to finish in a tie for ninth place. As the No. 10 seed in the MAAC tournament, they lost in the first round to No. 7 seed Fairfield 58–59 in overtime.

The Jaspers, led by 11th-year head coach Steve Masiello, played their home games at Draddy Gymnasium in Riverdale, New York as members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

The 1994–95 Manhattan Jaspers basketball team represented Manhattan College during the 1994–95 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Jaspers, led by third-year head coach Fran Fraschilla, played their home games at Draddy Gymnasium and were members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They finished the season 26–5, 12–2 in MAAC play to finish in first place. They lost the championship game of the MAAC tournament, but secured an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament. Playing as the No. 13 seed in the Southeast region, the Jaspers upset No. 4 seed Oklahoma in the opening round. Manhattan was beaten by No. 5 seed Arizona State in the round of 32.
