The Manhattan Jaspers baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of Manhattan University in the Bronx, New York. [2] The team is a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. Its home venue is Clover Stadium, located in Pomona, New York, approximately 35 miles outside New York City. The Jaspers are led by interim head coach Steven Rosen. [3]

Venues

From 2015 to 2019, the Jaspers played its home games in Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, New York. In 2020, the Jaspers announced that they would be returning to Van Cortlandt Park for all home games in 2021. [4] By 2022, the Jaspers moved to Clover Stadium. [5] [6] [7]

Manhattan University is a private, Catholic university in New York City. Originally established in 1853 by the Brothers of the Christian Schools as an academy for day students, it was later incorporated as an institution of higher education through a charter granted by the New York State Board of Regents. In 1922, it moved from Manhattan to the Riverdale section of the Bronx, roughly 6.4 miles (10.3 km) north of its original location on 131st Street in Manhattanville.

The UConn Huskies football team is a college football team that represents the University of Connecticut in the sport of American football. The team competes in NCAA Division I FBS as an independent. Connecticut first fielded a team in 1896, and participated in Division I-AA until 1999. The Huskies began their two-year Division I-A transition period in 2000, and became a full-fledged Division I-A team in 2002. From 2000 to 2003, the team played as an independent. The school's football team then joined the conference of its other sport teams, the Big East, taking effect in 2004, through 2019. In 2019, the UConn football team left the American to again play as an independent, as the school's current primary conference, the current Big East, does not sponsor the sport. The Huskies are currently coached by Jim Mora.

The South Florida Bulls are the athletic teams that represent the University of South Florida. USF competes in NCAA Division I and is a member of the American Athletic Conference for all sports besides sailing, a non-NCAA sanctioned varsity sport which competes in the South Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association within the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association. He also served as the head coach of the NJIT Highlanders (2011–2012) and the Manhattan Jaspers (2018–2022)
